this one is one of my favs in the series. haruna, a jock in middle school, puts her softball days behind her and looks forward to experiencing first love in high school. she asks yoh, a cool, good looking sophomore to "coach" her in being popular with guys. yoh has no good memories of dating - in middle school he went out with the team manager of his basketball team, and when he hurt her feelings unknowlingly, she and the team isolate him for the rest of his time there. thus he thinks girls are flighty and annoying, and he doesn't like them at all. although yoh says harsh things and he's a bit rough around the edges, he has a kind heart deep inside. in hsd 4, haruna and yoh have just started going out, and haruna's planning christmas. needless to say, they go thru troubles and soon they aren't speaking to each other anymore. the best, saddest, and most emotional line for me, is when haruna thinks, "yoh, can't you read my mind anymore?" it's up to you to find out whether they make up at the end or not. but before you read this book, i suggest you read hsk 1, 2, and 3 first.

Haruna seems to be confused at what she should do and feel now that she's Yoh's girlfriend. And she gets some help from her two friends. This series is getting more and more good. The expressions and the eyes are drawn really well. This is honestly becoming my favorite manga series. And that ending was just too cute!

This was another great addition to this series. The Christmas plot line was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed this volume.

Who couldn't use a 'Love Coach' even out of High School? This series follows the life of a Freshman who was a Jock the year before, but wants to be like the girls in the hundreds of Romance(Shojo)Manga she reads about now that she has started HS. She's cute, but has no idea how to dress or act around boys, so she asks for help from a guy who knows what it takes to be popular! I recommend this to pre-teens and anyone who wants a story about a sweet girl just trying to get through life!
