    You WILL wax nostalgic!

This book gives a pretty comprehensive look at the history of video gaming from its humble beginnings to the present. I was really impressed by both the history and the pictures, which made me remember just how much I enjoyed playing some of the games of the past. For those who lived through much of this revolution, this book will really bring back memories and make you wish you had never sold that old computer. Heck, you may even wonder why games like that aren't even written anymore. To those who are new to video games, it will give you a good idea of just how far these games have advanced, from Pong and Zork to Final Fantasy X and Resident Evil.

A great and highly informative book.

This has got to be one of the best books I've read in regards to the nostalgic look and the advancement of electronic gaming. From pinball machines from the early 1900's to the Xbox, this book covers all the bases. I was especially amazed at how in depth the stories regarding the rise and fall of Atari, the early handheld games of the 70's and 80's and information regarding the present video gaming boom.
