This is book two of the series. There are four currently published, with the fifth coming out at the end of March, 2014. First, this book was advertised to cost $2.99 and it cost $3.99. (Bad) second, it had almost 400 pages, instead of the 260. (good) It was a lot like the first book, but had enough new qualities, predictiments and people, as well as all the originals, to stay fresh and interesting. There is humor in this book as well. This too, has an open conclusion. There are some pretty silly happenings. I thought, you have got to be kidding me, several times. There is an overuse of the word, smirk, a personal peeve of mine. Some romance, undetailed sex, no cursing, a mystery, no gore, some rather lame violence and murder, no religion, carry over plots and another open conclusion. The wedding chapel stuff and Muffin is getting rather annoying. I bought book three and four. I like to read something funny and light once in a while. I debated between three and four stars and decided on four, because it is a rather clean, funny read without a bounty hunter, or PI heroine. This is chick lit. Those 16 and up and up will enjoy this book. AD

Enjoyed it like i did the first book in the series, buying the third now. Romance and the suspense make it a good read. But with the added humor it makes it great! Fans of Janet Evanovich should enjoy it.

Book 1 way better. This book too short for the money! And still too many unknowns.

I really enjoyed the 1st book in this series and was amazed that i got it free! It was 600 pages of fun and excitement. However, this one feels like a rip-off since you pay $4 for less than 200 pages, it has even more mispellings and errors than the 1st one, and it's just a stop-gap between books 1 and 3. It answers some questions and resolves a few problems (Dagor, Mya and David) but it also raises new ones (Fiona, Muffin and Ian) in an attempt to make you buy book 3. It better be a bargain or I'm done with this series.

I really enjoyed both books in this series. I just wish High Stakes was longer.....it seemed like I just sat down to read and before I knew it I was on the last page. Looking forward to the third book coming out this fall!

Little bummed by the shortness, the amount of craziness drama was a bit much and the never ending additional men chasing and trying to get with nadia is a bit much

Great characters swiftly move through a fun and wild story. Though, sometimes, Nadia's impetuousness made me nuts.

No bluff, gives Evanovich a run for her money!

I read the first Nadia Wolf series and went right to the second only to find out the third is not published yet. Some parts are a little too unbelievable but leaves you wanting to find out what happened anyway. At least this second book tied things up somewhat from the first book.

First one was a little to out-there and not that believable but when it became bait for part 2 and possibly part 3, I'll cut my loses and make up my own ending.
