A desire that defies all limits...and a love that was meant to be...
Scotland 1502. Akira Neish has been raised as a peasant, her belly often empty and her family subject to the cruel whims of her clan's laird. To the clan's children, the horned shaped birthmark she bears means she is a witch. But she is neither peasant nor witch-and now the man who knows the truth has returned to claim her for his own.
Calin MacLeod has kept Akira's secrets and to avenge his father, the sensual young laird must marry her. He is more than a match for the fiery nature of the woman he adores. Yet the passion they share-and truths that can no longer remain hidden-could rip all of Scotland apart...
"Fascinating...well-crafted romance. The appeal of Killion's characters comes from their honor, intelligence and humanity." -Romantic Times, 4-star review
I absolutely loved this book. I do not read romance novels a lot, but this one and her previous book "Her One Desire" were amazing. I am a fan already and CAN"T wait until she releases another novel. I recommend this book!

I loved the characters, Akira and Calin make this highland romance perfect. Akira the heroin in this story is stong, brave, stubborn, and believes in her true soul mate. Calin is like all highlanders handsome, strong and brave. He brands Akira with his fathers ring when she is born and claims her as his and will do everything in his power to keep her.

I felt the writer spent more time trying to put violence in this book. I actually found it depressing and very stressful. I read books to uplift my spirits not to drown myself with despire. Rape or any torturous violence is something I don't like to read about. The brief summary deceived me. If I had known this book was written so poorly and vile I would've moved along and not consider this book.

I've tried 4 times to buy this book and wait for the charged to show up. It shows up, then I get an email saying its canceled and sure enough it is canceled on my status. If its not on sale for nook, DON'T list it as such.

It was a long book and worth every page. There wasnt I time I wasnt totally pulled in. I read it in a day. It was romantic, believeable, intimate, everything a great romance novel should be. If this is a new author she has quite the career ahead of her. Thank you and keep up the great work.
