Overview

Charity Greves has the gift of healing. So when a naked bleeding Highlander materializes out of the air into her kitchen, she does what any rational free-thinking herbalist under the same circumstances would do--she heals him. She didn’t expect to be drawn back to the 13th Century where a dangerous whacked-out witch holds the handsome Highlander captive.

Nor is she prepared to be drawn so strongly to him that she’ll do whatever it takes to save him.

Imprisoned by the witch, Toren Limont the High Sorcerer and Protector of the Fae’s magic, uses the last of his magical reserves to go forward in time and find a healer the witch doesn’t have any influence over. He merely seeks the small respite a healing can give him in order to continue to withstand the witch’s tortures long enough for his clan and siblings to flee.

Until Charity falls with him through time as either his salvation or his entire clan’s downfall.

Meet the Author

“Clover Autrey’s books are perfect for the time-constrained reader. They are a quick read jam-packed with action, adventure and emotion.” …from a reader in Utah. Clover Autrey writes the kind of stories she loves to read, high fantasy and time travels with Scottish Highlanders or magical mermen and shapeshifters, with powerful elements of romance, where the hero and heroine must each make sacrifices to gain something even stronger. She is the author of the HIGHLAND SORCERY series and the ANOINTED series. Clover serves as the current president of the Keller Writers Association and is the past president for the North Texas Romance Writers of America. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops. Inspired by her love of Louis L'Amour historical romantic heroes, Clover (yeah, that's her real name), packed up and moved to Texas where she found a real live Texan of her own. She's been there ever since where she and Pat (who else would a Clover marry but a Patrick?) listen to the coyotes howl at the trains each evening. Really good book! I love books that don't stick to the normal played out scenarios-this one was really good but am also excited about reading book two in this series. I love time-travel books and now have some new authors to read-Tammy Clarke Gibbs book Island of Secrets is really good as is Forgotten Time Series by Lorraine Beaumont...awesome! HP Mallory is really good too with her Warlock Series and Witch Series-

Love it. It goes from today world to the old world long ago and i think the writer wrote it well and just can't wait for the next book. I think it will be a great series.

Would give it 3.5 stars. Liked the story - different. I would have liked more connection between the 2 character's. Leaves you hanging on what happens to the rest of the family and to Charity.

I would give 5 stars if it actually had an ending - it felt like the first few chapters of an unfinished book. Very clever time travel storyline, but have to buy at least 3 more stories to get there. Too annoyed to buy the series which are sure to also be cliffhangers.

The book was ok but I wasn't that impressed. After reading it I didn't want to rush right out to buy the next one.

The storyline and writing are good, but the book just 'ends' after inly a couple of jours of rwading without any warning at a somewhat critical point. I read many books in series so do understand how those work, and this is not like that. To get any reward frim this book you have to buy the next two books. Almost like a scam. This is one series i will not even attempt to finish.
