Overview

New York Times bestselling authors Hannah Howell and Lynsay Sands combine talents in their most thrilling book yet. Set in the rugged Scottish Highlands, here is the spellbinding tale of two men destined to live by night with a hunger only the blood of Outsiders can quench--and a passion only two extraordinary women can satisfy. . .

Cousins Heming MacNachton and Tearlach MacAdie are bound by the same blood, the same ancient curse, and now the same quest: to search out the enemies of their clan--hunters who consider them soulless demons and intend to exterminate them. But no sooner have Heming and Tearlach begun than they are drugged, separated, and taken captive. One is brought deep into the borderlands of Scotland, the other, in the dreary depths of Northern England.

Brona Kerr and Lady Lucy Blytheswood are irresistibly drawn to the mysterious prisoners. Together, the women resolve to save them. In doing so, they will safeguard the clan's future and their own. Now Brona and Lucy must cross perilous terrain to fight for their lives--and for the men with whom they discover an eternal passion they never imagined. . .

    greeat vamp stories

¿Blood Feud¿ by Hannah Howell. In 1511 England, Lord Hervey Kerr captures Sir Heming MacNachton, whom he plans to torture until the Scotsman reveals his clan¿s secret for long life. The odious Englishman also holds prisoner his wealthy cousin Lady Brona Kerr whom he plans to force into marriage to his right hand man Angus. Brona frees Heming and with a few other prisoners begin a trek to safety even as he realizes she is his soulmate.----------- ¿Capture¿ by Lynsay Sands. At the same time his cousin Hervey was incarcerated, Tearlach MacAdie finds himself in chains in a dungeon. Also in chains is Lady Lucy Blytheswood whose brother was murdered by Lord Wymon Carbonnel. Like Heming Wyomon wants Tearlach's secret of long life, but he also plans to wed his other prisoner and frame the Scot as the killer of her sibling. Although Tearlach is not much help due to injuries, Lucy enables them to escape the dungeon. They flee for his home hoping to elude the outraged Wymon ------------------ Though clearly occurring concurrently, by keeping each tale separate the two authors make HIGHLAND THIRST an easier read. Refreshing this historical paranormal romance is the heroines are not only courageous risking their lives, they save the male leads. The smooth blending of vampires within the Scottish historical romance adds to the uniqueness of a delightful tale. Although the villains are too stereotypical vile even as each differs (they are the monsters not the vampires), readers will appreciate this fabulous collaboration between Hannah Howell & Lynsay Sands.-------------- Harriet Klausner

    A Tale of Hot Scotts..................................

Two great stories. Dungeons and damsels in distress. Bad guys. And of course the hot Scotts. Two short stories of about 115 pages each. Nobody does it better then HH and LS. Great read and I'm not even a big vampire fan. But when they're written this well you can't resist.

    Loved it!

As someone who is a must have anything "Argeneau", this was my first Highland style book of Sands, and I loved it! I actually had my paperback version stolen, sigh, and came home immediately and bought the e-book because I just HAD to finish it! Now I am a Howell fan and will start digging for all her books. I really did like the story split between the two authors, makes for interesting reading.

    I Also Recommend:

    GREAT!!!

If you love highlanders and vampires then this is the book for you. Two cousins on a mission to scout out their enemies are captured on their trip. One is tortured for information about their secrets to a long-lived life, while the other is tortuned for information about how to take over their family keep. Luckily both men have a guardian angel to help them escape these devious men. As a result, both men and women find happiness that they never dreamed possible on their way to safety. Both stories were wonderful and tied together nicely. If your looking for more short stories with highland vampires check out my suggestion. You'll love them both! Happy Reading!
