A fabulous mixture of magic and romance. Allie Mackay has penned an enchanting romance of lovers from different times. Ms. Mackay has done an excellent job of blending the future with the past and creating a magical tale. Kira and Aidan are perfect for one another no matter what obstacles stand in their way. A charming ensemble of minor characters helps to add to the story's appeal. The descriptions of the characters and the places are so vivid that it is easy to visualize the scenes as you read them. This is the second book from Allie Mackay and is the continuation in her wonderful paranormal Scottish series. I loved this one as well as I did the first one. Ms. Mackay has a wonderful combination in her writings of Scottish charm, humor and yes hot romance! And who can resist a sexy highland warrior in his kilt, sword in hand *sighs*. A truly great book that you will enjoy and find yourself laughing out loud at times with, in short this one is a keeper and I can't wait for the next one!

No doubt about it, HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS is a fun, sexy romp. The idea that Kira is able to live out her fantasies is immensely appealing as is the man of her dreams, Aidan MacDonald. He simply oozes strength and sex appeal and there's no question he can sweep a woman off her feet. Yet, there is more to Kira and Aidan's romance than just physical attraction. Their relationship has enough depth to convince readers of an emotional bond between the two. Added to that are twists in the plot, including dastardly archenemies and unpredictable paranormal activities, so that along with a romance that tugs at the heartstrings, there is also plenty of excitement and action to be had in HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS. After all, it is fourteenth century Scotland, a wild and turbulent time where might makes right. And here is where the author's affection for Scotland and knowledge of history shine through. The care in which she crafts her setting is able to transport readers, giving them a true sense of another time and a very magical place. With its engaging characters -- a "dreamy" Scottish Highlander and a very intrepid heroine -- and a pleasing blend of wit, passion, and the paranormal, HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS serves up a steamy romance that packs emotional punch.     Nice Light Read

    I have read the previous book 'Highlander in her Bed' and a I enjoyed this one too. The characters are well written and the plot flows along smoothly. A very nice romance. I can't wait until her next book comes out.

    Great Book To Read!

    This is the first time I have read this author! I was hooked from the first page until the last! I couldn't seem to put it down! You will love the time travel, the romance, the mystery, and the family ties. You will not regret reading this book! I am now looking forward to more Highlander books! Heck, this book makes me want to go dream a highlander into existance!

    I Loved this book!

    Be prepared to not only step back in time with the heroine, Kira Bedwell, but also see Scotland as it truly is. While reading the book, I could almost smell the peat fires from the crofters huts and see the mist rising from the Highlands. I was transported as much so as Kira! Now for the juicy details: Aidan MacDonald is a hero's hero. Everything a Medieval clan chieftain should be but with all the tenderness and compassion a woman would want. Kira and Aidan fall deeply in love and there is nothing in their way but a small matter of about seven hundred years. Oh, and a maniacal relative bent on murder. However, nothing will stand in the way when a love like theirs will last throughout the ages. There are several plot twists that left me guessing and a bit of action to keep up the pace. The main focus is the love story which is poignantly written and brought a tear to my eye on more than one occasion. There are also cameos of past characters throughout. I have a soft spot for Alex and Hardwin (-wick). Fans of Allie MacKay aka Sue-Ellen Welfonder will enjoy the classic Scottish dialogue and banter which left me laughing out loud and of course the hot sensual tension and love scenes. For anyone who wants to spend a day, or a few hours, in Scotland, read this book and it will take you there. A definite keeper for me.
