No doubt about it, HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS is a fun, sexy romp. The idea that Kira is able to live out her fantasies is immensely appealing as is the man of her dreams, Aidan MacDonald. He simply oozes strength and sex appeal and there's no question he can sweep a woman off her feet. Yet, there is more to Kira and Aidan's romance than just physical attraction. Their relationship has enough depth to convince readers of an emotional bond between the two. Added to that are twists in the plot, including dastardly archenemies and unpredictable paranormal activities, so that along with a romance that tugs at the heartstrings, there is also plenty of excitement and action to be had in HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS. After all, it is fourteenth century Scotland, a wild and turbulent time where might makes right. And here is where the author's affection for Scotland and knowledge of history shine through. The care in which she crafts her setting is able to transport readers, giving them a true sense of another time and a very magical place. With its engaging characters -- a "dreamy" Scottish Highlander and a very intrepid heroine -- and a pleasing blend of wit, passion, and the paranormal, HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS serves up a steamy romance that packs emotional punch. I highly recommend it.

A fabulous mixture of magic and romance. Allie Mackay has penned an enchanting romance of lovers from different times. Ms. Mackay has done an excellent job of blending the future with the past and creating a magical tale. Kira and Aidan are perfect for one another no matter what obstacles stand in their way. A charming ensemble of minor characters helps to add to the story's appeal. The descriptions of the characters and the places are so vivid that it is easy to visualize the scenes as you read them. HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS is a captivating paranormal romance and a wonderful addition to a book lover's library.

Sexy. Imaginative and fascinating. In HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS, Allie Mackay takes the reader from present day back to fourteenth century Scotland. There, she spins a magical tale where a modern woman falls in love with a medieval Scottish chieftain. Thrilling action and the many dangers that present themselves, held me spellbound. A fascinating mix of exciting action and passionate romance makes HIGHLANDER IN HER DREAMS a real keeper.' RRAH 'Top Pick.

Night Owl Romance
This is the second book from Allie Mackay and is the continuation in her wonderful paranormal Scottish series. I loved this one as well as I did the first one. Ms. Mackay has a wonderful combination in her writings of Scottish charm, humor and yes hot romance! And who can resist a sexy highland warrior in his kilt, sword in hand *sighs*. A truly great book that you will enjoy and find yourself laughing out loud at times with, in short this one is a keeper and I can't wait for the next one!

Finding Love In The Past.... Another re-read for me. I love Allie MacKay's stories so much I can't help but re-visit them occasionally. Castle Wrath, Isle of Skye 1315, and modern day... Kira Bedwell has a run in with Aiden MacDonald while in Scotland shortly after her 18th birthday. What makes it so special and heart-rending is that it only lasts for a few minutes....because Aiden is from the 13th century and their run in happens at the ruins of Castle Wrath, Aiden's castle. 12 years pass....12 years of them meeting in the depths of dreams. They both ache for the other. Kira gets the chance to return to Scotland through a job for the magazine she works for. She is a far-seer. Something that has been passed down through the women of her family and her ability to find things lands her the job. I don't want to give much of the story away but I will say they find each other again and what Kira succeeds in doing is something I would love to do myself! There is someone in the clan who is a danger to everything Aiden and Kira hold dear and Aiden finds himself doing something that is beyond selfless, in this reader's heart, to keep his woman safe. I love the secondary characters, many who have their own stories in other MacKay books. When you pick this book up, you will find the "feel" of Scotland surround you as you read. I just want to crawl into her stories and lose myself. Love, love, love her writing!

Kira takes a graduation trip to Scotland falls in love with it. She experiences a haunting of the Laird of the keep she lunches at and accidentally takes a piece of slate with her when she gathers her lunch to return to where the bus will pick her up. 12 years later she returns and visits the site again and falls through a weak spot in the ruins and lands in the 1300’s at the Laird of the keeps castle. There is lots of suspense and romance while the Lair and her get into one scrape or another. Very entertaining hard to put the story away to accomplish other duties needing done.

I have read the previous book 'Highlander in her Bed' and a I enjoyed this one too. The characters are well written and the plot flows along smoothly. A very nice romance. I can't wait until her next book comes out.
