Overview

Phantom of the Opera [Highlights] distills the cast recording of the popular Andrew Lloyd Webber musical to simply 13 tracks, all of which are the most popular numbers from the blockbuster production. Fans of "The Music of the Night," "Masquerade," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," "Think of Me," and "Angel of Music" who don't want to invest in the entire double-disc cast recording should find this to be a valuable alternative.

This is a one CD album, but still REALLY good! If you want to hear mostly Michael Crawford and Christine, this is a good choice.

This soundtrack is unbelievable! Michael Crawford (Phantom), Sarah Brightman (Christine), and Steve Barton (Raoul) are incredible! This is the best soundtrack of Phantom out there! Every song is great! From "Think Of Me", "Angel Of Music", "The Phantom Of The Opera", "The Music Of The Night", "All I Ask Of You", "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again", and "The Point Of No Return", this is the soundtrack to get! There is just no song that I don't like on this soundtrack! I am so glad cause I get to sing "All I Ask Of You" at my voice recital this coming summer and I can't wait! I am currently reading the book and can't wait to see the show on Broadway this coming August!

I borrowed this from a friend and I scratched it up a little, so I'm buying him a new one. The upside: I get to keep this copy! Michael Crawford's not as good as Howard McGillin, but he hasn't made a CD, so as of now, this is the best!

I love Phantom. I've had this CD for about three years now and just saw Phantom for the second time in Louisana with my friend from school. Listening to this CD and reading the book in French made me enjoy the real thing even more than the first time I saw it. This CD is awesome and worth the money in my opinion. My friend and I are the biggest Phantom freaks in the world! We love Phantom and even sing it around campus out loud! So, we are big advocats of the Phantom and I wanted to share our views with potential buyers.

I saw the musical and it just amazed me,this music is just awe inspring and you have to be amazed at the actors to sing it.

Much to my dismay, my parents travelled to Atlanta to see The Phantom of the Opera live when I was 10 years old. They came back with this CD, and I immediately fell in love with "The Phantom"! I became so angry with them for going without me that they promised to take me upon high school graduation...and now, seven years later, I can't wait until May!

This is not as good as the 2-CD set, but it's still good. Note: Music of the Night is a different version here than on the whole set. If you don't want the whole set, than this is definitely a good alternative. Or, like me, you can get both. :-)
