This was truly horrifying and had me fearful all the while. We see gore, the struggle for survival, and the best and worst of humanity and heartbreak as the characters come to reality in a very changed world. Also very cool about this series is the first few pages are in color. That's unusual for any manga I've read and it really added to the experience for me.

Never has a zombie apocalypse looked so good! The brilliant minds and talented hands of the Sato brothers have managed to take an age-old horror scenario and turn it into a masterpiece. Taking place in modern day Japan, it follows the story of your typical high school delinquient Takashi Komuro who suddenly finds himself trapped in a zombie outbreak that sweeps across the entire country. Banding together with a handful of survivors, including his childhood best friend and the ditsy school nurse, Takashi and his group fight for their very lives as they brave the now-infested streets of their city in search of loved oness and a way to escape the nightmare they now live in. This manga has everything you could possibly want: A beautiful artstyle, a compelling and suspense-filled story that will keep you from wanting to turn to the next page one second and make you unable to put it down the next, unique and well-developed characters, and numerous funny and/or suggestive moments that put a light and sexy spin on this otherwise-serious storyline. If you are a lover of manga, zombies, horror, violence, gratuitous cleavage, or all of the above, this is one series you cannot afford to pass up!

Highschool Of The Damned (H.O.T.D) is a must read for anyone that loves zombies, guns, violence and girls with big guns and even bigger boobs. I hate zombies so much but even I love H.O.T.D with a passion. Its got its moments of suspense, moments that had me not wanting to look or continue on and other moments that had me pretty much falling out of my seat laughing. If the fan dubs are that good, you know the original has to be so much better and I can't wait to have this series sitting on my bookshelf!!

D**m, y its got to hav suggestive inappropriate moments?! D:< Tried watchin the anime, couldnt because it was too disgustingly suggestive in the very stupid way. Threw off the characters seriousness n I didnt want it to continue. Didnt read this boom but by watching some of the anime, its stupidly suggestive to an unnessassary extent with a great storyline. Disappointed; teens would be watching/reading this if it wasn't so suggestive. They threw it in there, making it unreadble or watchable to younger manga fans, like myself. Great story in the beginning until it got inappropriate.
