Meet the Author

Before eloping to Las Vegas with her own romantic hero, Fiona Vance was an office manager, a cocktail waitress, a ballet teacher, a guitarist for an all-girl punk band, a lingerie home-party sales rep, a Brownie leader, a model, and a web developer. Proving that what happens in Vegas sometimes follows you home, she now has four children, ages 5-23. While some feats were more successful than others, all were accomplished without a net or any significant amount of medication (although she did once have a German Shepherd on Zoloft). Someday, when she has time for hobbies, she’ll have a horse, a vegetable garden, and will lose fifteen pounds.

Originally from Newport, Rhode Island, she currently lives in Oregon with her writer-husband, three out of four kids, and a feisty calico cat named Snowy (who is not currently overweight or on any prescription medication).
