    Interesting

I like that there's different arcs for this series. And of course we have the same characters, but you wonder where they play in their role in the arcs. Plus the covers are drawn really good. And of course the colored pages at the beginning are really good as well. Good but dark series.

I actually really enjoyed this rendition. See, the rest of the manga renditions of the story are as they say, bellow par with the anime adaptation. Including the dubbed version. But with this arc, it works very well. In fact, it's even better than the anime. the illustrator has developed nicely since his first Higurashi arc, and now mood is at it's finest within these four volumes. When a hand breaks, you feel like it's broken. Moments can easily become cringy and tense, and on top of that, it's Higurashi, so we all already know that the story is rather great. If any issue can be found, I'd have to mention this person's way of drawing can be.. rather disproportionate, but on the other hand, it's dramatized proportions only intensify the moods. much the same as with the anime. Being not hindered by it's limitations, but using it to the best of there abilities, and this work really comes together because of it. Definitely get this arc. Only after watching the series up to this point though.
