Meet the Author

Andrew Slade is a writer, naturalist and educator who grew up exploring Minnesota's North Shore. He has hiked in 27 states and five provinces. He visited all 66 campgrounds in the North Shore area, checking nearly 2000 individual campsites. He lives within a stone's throw of Lake Superior wit his wife and their two sons. Slade has a masters degree in environmental studies. He is also the author of Skiing the North Shore and Camping the North Shore.

    Looks great!

    Bought as a gift for a nephew that recently moved to this area. It looks great! Since it has been recently published, I'm assuming the trails are still correct. Nicely organized!
