Martin Hintz is a professional travel writer who has lived in Wisconsin for nearly 30 years. His books in print include Off the Beaten Path: Wisconsin, Wisconsin Family Adventure Guide, and Great National Park Vacations. A prolific writer of travel articles, Hintz has had work featured in such publications as Midwest Living, Home & Away, Milwaukee Journal, the Chicago Tribune, and Midwest Express Magazine.

A graduate of the College of St. Thomas and of Northwestern University, Hintz has received honors for his travel writing from the Society of American Travel Writers, Midwest Travel Writers of America, and Council for Wisconsin Writers.
