Soviet-Russian grammer developed to make Ukrainian sound closer to Russian. No Ukrainian letter H changed pronounciations to Ukrainian X (as in English CH in 'loCH'). This made Honolulu pronounced as Xonolulu and written as Gonolulu. Many more like this!
