Read an Excerpt

"Double-Trouble is a working cattle ranch, but we're also one of the best dude ranches in the country. We're constantly switching tours in and out. Only slow time is in the winter."

"So, you have people who work it?"

"We do the work ourselves--my grandparents, parents, two brothers, and my sister-in-law. Sometimes we hire on extra help in the summer when we get really busy." If she thought she was going to skate out of this, Miss Brody was in for a surprise.

She paused as they waited to cross the street, leaning against his hand still resting on her lower back. "I'm sure this won't come as a surprise, but I don't have a clue what to do."

"As long as you're willing, you can do anything." He circled his thumb against the middle of her back. "Don't worry. You'll be working under me." She could read all she wanted into that statement. Colt meant it just the way it sounded. The sooner he had her in his bed, the happier he'd be.
