His Addiction My Recovery
His Addiction, My Recovery is a powerful, unfiltered journey through love, loss, and self-discovery. This collection of raw, emotionally charged poetry captures the silent battles fought in the shadows of addiction, grieving the life you imagined, untangling codependency, and reclaiming your sense of self.

Each poem is a reflection of the heart's quiet revolution: setting boundaries, confronting hard truths, and walking away from the person you swore you'd never leave. From the weight of trying to "save" someone else to the quiet courage it takes to finally choose yourself, these verses will resonate with anyone who has ever had to heal from love that hurt.

His Addiction, My Recovery isn't just about endings, it's about beginnings. It's about the strength it takes to break free from cycles of pain and the beauty that can be found in broken places. Through honest reflection and tender resolve, these words remind us that while addiction may destroy, recovery rebuilds.

For those seeking healing, strength, or a reminder that growth can come from grief, this book offers a place to rest and reflect. With themes of love, loss, and renewal, His Addiction, My Recovery is an anthem for anyone who has ever had to let go of someone else to hold on to themselves.

Perfect for readers navigating heartbreak, healing, or personal growth, this collection of poetry will remind you that you are not alone and that choosing yourself is always worth it and YOU ARE WORTH IT.

About the Author

Jessica is a mother of four, a public health nurse, and a survivor of childhood abuse and a family broken by addiction. She is a writer who transforms pain into purpose. Her debut poetry collection, His Addiction, My Recovery, and her latest work, Soaring with Broken Wings, are raw and powerful explorations of love, loss, and healing in the aftermath of addiction. With honesty and compassion, Jessica shares her journey of breaking free from toxic cycles, reclaiming her identity, and creating a life rooted in faith and resilience.

Having aged out of the foster care system herself, Jessica’s life has been shaped by struggles that many endure but few openly discuss. Her experiences as a single mother raising her children through the turmoil of addiction have given her a unique perspective on the power of love, boundaries, and perseverance.

Jessica also volunteers with the American Red Cross, State Medical Reserves, and County Medical Reserves providing critical support to those facing emergencies. Her commitment to helping others reflects her deep belief in the power of community and resilience.

Jessica’s writing is a beacon of hope for anyone navigating trauma, grief, or the challenges of generational healing. Through her work, she reminds readers that even in brokenness, there is strength, and even in chaos, there is a path to peace.

When she isn’t writing, Jessica devotes her time to her faith, her family, her career in public health, and advocating for others to find their own voices in the face of adversity.
