Alice Cavanaugh learned early that the only person she could count on was herself. As a single mom, she works hard to provide the best life possible for her son Charlie, and to earn the respect of those around her. She might take part in a scene at The Club, but she's way too busy to be anyone's full-time submissive. And that's fine with her, since the one dominant she's fantasized about submitting to has given her nothing but mixed-signals and heartache... until now.
Alexander "Slay" Slater, a former Marine and Dungeon Master at The Club, has been eyeing Alice for a while now... from a distance. But now that he's set his sights on her, he's all in. He will make her feel safe and cared for, and attend to her every need--including taking her over his knee for a sound spanking when she needs it.
But when Alice and Slay are roped into a dangerous entanglement with an insidious drug cartel, their relationship is put to the test. Can Alice trust Slay, even when it means ignoring her own fears and instincts? Can Slay keep Alice safe from the dangers that they face? Above all, can they overcome the obstacles that keep them apart--so that Slay can become Alice's Daddy, and Alice... his babygirl?
DISCLAIMER: This book contains the spanking of adult women, mild elements of age-play, and BDSM including power exchange. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

His Babygirl is the fourth book in the Boston Doms series. I have read all of them and enjoyed them. Like the others in the series, this book is about a love affair between a young woman, Alice, with a difficult problem; she has a 6 year old child from a one night affair and has a tough time managing things. However, she does enjoy being with a dominant and the one dominant she really wants is Alexander – who also wants her. As their love affair develops, there are many instances involving spankings and other punishments, as well a desire by Alexander to have Alice call him “Daddy” and accept that she is his “baby girl.” There is also a side story involving a drug dealer and a threat to Alice which Alexander foils – and all ends happily. While there are references to the characters in the other stories in the series, this story stands on its own.
Wow, what a great book! This story can be read as a standalone but is enhanced if you read the previous books. Alice "Allie" Cavanaugh is a single mom to her son Charlie. She works 2 jobs, volunteers, and is devoted to raising her son. At the same time, she has liked Alexander "Slay" Slater for such a long time. She has just about given up on him wanting her when he decides that the timing is right and he can't do without her any longer. While they are exploring their feelings for each other there is more happening with Slay than he can explain to Allie, with danger in the area. With this danger around, Slay only becomes more protective of his baby girl while she must learn to listen and trust her daddy. Come jump into this new adventure that has wonderful characters that keep you reading from start to finish. This great storyline includes different elements of BDSM, some action and intrigue, friendships, spankings, and a lot of love! I highly recommend this can't miss book! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I read this book willingly as an ARC book. I enjoyed this story and plot but was surprised by the Daddy Dom relationship with Alice. Slay's personality came shining through the pages. He was completely realistic as a tough guy with a softie interior. I bought Allie's willingness to consign herself to his caring attention because she had worshipped him for so long and she had given up a good part of her early years because of a young pregnancy. This story was believable.
IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS: DO YOU TRUST ME? I enjoyed this fourth story in the Boston Dom series. Each book has people from previous stories, and we learn a bit more about what is going on in their lives, but this story focuses on Alexander “Slay” Slater and Alice Cavanaugh. Alice is a single mother of a six-year-old boy named Charlie, raising him on her own without support from her high school sweetheart, and Charlie’s father. She works several jobs, including at The Club tending bar where Slay is a Dungeon Master and bouncer. She has feelings for Slay, but he has pushed her away, hurt her feelings and she has decided, she would do whatever she wants, she doesn’t answer to him. Slay has been bidding his time, but when he sees Alice outside the club smoking, he decides it is time to take action. Their relationship is going to take a new twist. Slay has secrets, ones that he can’t share with her, ones that are part of an undercover sting and he is trying to keep her safe. There are other people involved, Marines he served with, part of a security detail, and some people appear to be of the criminal nature. As Slay and Alice become involved, he keeps asking her to trust him, but it is something she is struggling with. As with all D/s relationship, submitting and trusting are always so much easier in theory. Slay and Alice have a Daddy Dom/little girl relationship. He wants her to trust him, call him Daddy and allow him to take care of her and know what is best. “You’re my babygirl. And Daddies always give their babygirls what they need.” Things will become a life and death dangerous situation, and it will be Charlie, Alice’s son, who proves to be a hero. Don’t judge a person by their size or looks, because looks can be deceiving, and eventually, others will see that it isn’t what you see on the outside, but what is inside a person’s heart and soul. There are plenty of discipline scenes and explicit sex scenes. We are left with some news, and I look forward to the next book in their series.
