Overview

    I Also Recommend:

His Brain Her Brain is very insightful to the differences between men and women. Once we understand how uniquely we are created, and learn to appreciate those differences then we can live more harmoniously not only in marriage, but in life.

I appreciate all the research done by the authors of His Brain Her Brain. They look extensively at how our brains, female, and male are uniquely created. Because we are uniquely created we can celebrate these differences, and live life to it's fullness. We can enjoy our marriages and all other relationships. His Brain Her Brain would be a great book for anyone, married or single. The insight in this book will help anyone with relationships of the opposite sex. Whether it be a family member, or a co-worker, or a spouse. These are important truths for us all to grab a hold of.
I would strongly recommend this book if you are engaged or wanting to be married someday. I would also recommend it if you already are married, it can save a marriage, knowing how uniquely and wonderfully we are made, male, and female. We were intended to live on earth in harmony with one another. His Brain Her Brain helps the reader understand why there has been so many broken relationships, and how we can make relationships better for our future.

This was a fun audiobook to listen to in my car while going to and coming from work. The unabridged audiobook lasts about 6 hours, and the narrators are some of the best I have heard. There are two narrators, one male and one female, and they are both easy to hear and understand. The material presented in the book is interesting, and it has the potential to mitigate problems that may arise in most relationships. It is a good book.

Struggling to understand your spouse? Read this book!

As a pastor, I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to better understand why their mate acts they way she or he does. People often mistakenly believe that their spouse acts the way they do simply to be annoying. This book does an outstanding job of presenting the evidence for God's unique design of men and women. Yes, we are in fact very different - by design! Through their presentation, the Larimores detail how the differences are actually part of God's plan for creating women and men to complement one another. Their own stories and the easy to understand presentation of the scientific facts are wonderful and help the reader to better grasp this idea. I strongly advise anyone considering marriage, or any couple recently married to get this book and read it together. You will laugh together, point fingers at one another, and in the end, gain the freedom to allow each other to operate as God has uniquely created each of you to operate in this world and in your relationship. It is also a great read for anyone that has been married for many years.
