"I do want his hands on me... inside of me..."
HIS TOUCH CAN CHASE THE DARKNESS OUT OF HER

In finding each other, Ralph and Alice found the thing they have been seeking without thought — purpose, salvation... love.

From the Publisher that brought you popular short story series Witching Call, Hostile Hearts, Earthbound Angels, The January Morrison Files Psychic Series, Ralph's Gift, Song of Teeth, Children of Time, Chains of Darkness, Song of Teeth, Tropical Storms and Friend Zone....

From the moment of seeing her, Ralph was able to sense something in her. His gift, that which can manipulate life in the expense of his own, feels the darkness enveloping her life source. It is consuming her, like wood exposed on flaming fire. And he has a way to help her subdue it.

Ralph has the unique gift of the healing touch and for days, he took her pain and made it his own without Alice even knowing. But for how long can he do this? How long can he give her? Will Alice find out before it is too late?

EXCERPT

But he felt her pain. It was as hot as the noon sun, as clear as a scream.
“Why’d you call me and not 911?” he asked as he grabbed her phone to dial 911.
Her arms moved weakly to stop him. “N-Noo…”
“You need emergency care,” he protested.
She shook her head . Her breathing was labored.
As he intently gazed into her eyes, he understood.
This Alice wasn’t his bold Brunette that night. She was sick, weak, and all her shields were down. He could read her now and knew, he knew.
An incredible sorrow brimmed his eyes with tears.
He understood why she wouldn’t call 911.
So he put the phone down, locked her door and picked her up. He carried her to her bedroom to lay her gently down before turning his back on her to catch his breath while his heart raced with realization.
She’s dying. I’ve just found her, and she is dying. She knew that night when we… when she...!
He wanted to be angry with her and hate her.
But why?
Why, Alice?
Why her?
He turned and looked at her again. He took a deep, bracing breath and just gazed at her, a long while, with his entire being open and seeking.
She said nothing.

Meet the Author

The moment Sandra Ross held her first romance novel when she was ten, she knew she was going to write romance. At thirty now, a prolific reader and a freelance writer, she's since then expanded her preferences from just romance to romance with a dash of now trending sub-genres—paranormal , fantasy, sci-fi even, and erotica. She loves challenging herself and would write on a dare. On a normal day, she would be found in her herb garden collecting spices for her kitchen or ingredients for her potions; in her huge eclectic Provencal kitchen with the big modern oven cooking pots and pans of food for her family of one husband and three kids (an ardent daughter and two boisterous sons) that'll probably last for weeks; in her library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an e-reader in her hands as she reads the latest erotic hit; or scribbling pages upon pages of different erotic lifestyles, searching for the one that feels like it was inspired by just the right mix of passion, story line, and sex. Aside from these activities, the rest of the time she'd be found in front of her laptop typing the latest Sandra Ross concoction for her readers.

They are two people that met by chance. Two people who just happened to be in the same bar at the same time. But what happened to them was something neither one could expect. The love that they found in each other was more than they could comprehend. But it was also something that came about too late. Because their one night stand, that turned into something more, just can't continue the way they want it to. It's too late for one of them, but which one is it going to be?
This is about love and romance. It's about two people that don't have enough time with each other but are willing to do what they can. They want to spend the last few hours, days, weeks, or however long it may be, with the other because they've found true love. It's a very sweet and sad story of people that met and fell in love at the wrong time in their lives. Of course it's also a little bit of a paranormal story because Ralph has a secret he's been keeping hidden that just might save her life … but it will cost his.
I like Sandra's books because she is able to write in a style that is interesting to read. She is also able to write great sex scenes in her books but is able to write compelling, heartwarming scenes as well. She's capable of shocking you with all the indecent details and then making you cry just pages later.
If you like romance novels that have a bit of a sad twist then you'll like this book. It's got all the love and all of the sex that you would expect from an erotic romance. And of course, plenty of details to keep anyone entertained. But it's also got a story behind it that makes it an even better read. You're not just reading sex and romance. You're getting more than that. Of course having that paranormal part thrown in definitely didn't hurt how much I really liked this book.
Ralph and Alice met in a bar back in book one and had a crazy one night stand. But that wasn't the end of their relationship. In fact, that was only the beginning. Now they're back and Alice is dying. But Ralph just can't stand to lose her. He's determined to do whatever he can to save her life. And for a healer … that means a lot.
I would recommend this book to my friends and family that like romance. Of course, I know a few of them aren't fans of tear-jerkers but there are others that would love it. So if you like to laugh and cry in equal measure with a book then this is for you.

    I Also Recommend:

If you already find your true love and you know that his or her

If you already find your true love and you know that his or her chance of living and surviving is by sacrificing your own, would you do it?

This is the decision Ralph took to save Alice's life. His life for hers. Ralph loved Alice so much that he is willing to give his own life for her.

I envy Alice. She is blessed with true love – something she will treasure for the rest of her life. Because she still has the chance to live that life. A life she thought is nearing its dead-end.

This is a real tear-jerker. I read the Book 1 of this story and I was actually hoping that they continue their love story in Book 2 and I never expected the turn out of their story.

    This story is also thought-provoking.

Who doesn't wish for a happy ending? Who doesn't want to spend a long fruitful life with the one you love and perhaps enjoy to see your grand children or if you are lucky, you're grandchildren's children with your one true love? Everyone is hoping for this.

But then there are also realities in life that one has to accept. Who wants to spend the rest of his or her life alone without his true love? True love is rare. Once you find it, you'll never let it go. And when you already have it, you'll find all possible ways to cling on to it and hope that it will never leave you so soon.

In case of Ralph and Alice, in the Chapter 1 of Book 2, true love has to leave soon. And I thought, is it fair? Alice already found someone she knows she is going to love for the rest of her life but fate gets in the way then she finds herself alone because the love of her life chose to leave her to save her. Is it fair? You can live because your one true love is willing to die for you. Is that a livable life? But then, life is always unfair and we are always left to cope up to the things we are left with and find happiness in it.

I think, Ms. Sandra Ross's writing style is effective in the sense that she is able to convey the emotion that I think she wants to send out to her readers. She also wants to send a message that there is reality in Ralph and Alice's life – even if this is paranormal story. The tragedy of losing someone and the acceptance of the loss are the key points of the story which happens in real life.

In this book, Alice seemed very real to me. I can feel her despair in finding Ralph in his death-bed. I sympathize with the eventual change in her life. Alice is like a friend that I want to console.

And even though I do not like to tragedies in a romance drama, I find Ralph's sacrifice acceptable even admirable. Ms. Ross is able to justify Ralph's sacrifice and the other events of the story.

Though the death is a part of it and acceptable, I really wish no one has to die. I am partial to true love, fairy tales and that happy-ever-after-everyone-is-happy type of stories so this is just the negative part for me.

But to rate it all, this is well written, something I will definitely recommend to my peeps.

Complicated Love! When I read the first part I naively thought

    Complicated Love!

When I read the first part I naively thought that Ralph's true gift was Alice and not the fact that he had the power to heal. His powers gave
him a little more depth and peaked my interest. In the second part Alice is sick and Ralph's gift becomes more of a convenience than
anything which took a lot away from the sincerity of their love.
This part was certainly more about the love and the connection between them but like I said the sincerity was affected by the
circumstances surrounding them. Part one seemed so lustful and exciting and I really did not think that the characters were capable
of this type of love. I didn't see the story going in the direction it did. Now its all about sacrifice. Both Ralph and Alice have a big decision
to make which is made more difficult by their love for each other. Its about life and death and they don't have the luxury of time on their
hands which made their love seem desperate. I just found that seeing that both of them had about the same to lose it made the story
too complicated and dreary because no matter what choice they made their wasn't a true happy ending to expect. Where was the silver
    lining?
I found that the second part almost didn't tie in with the first. I say this because when they met at the bar it was a rather raunchy
encounter then as fate would have it tragedy brought them back for a second encounter which brought us to this point. It would have
been simpler if the sacrifice wasn't so black and white. It was literally her life or his. I kept reading with the hope that somehow Sandra
would twist the story around so that Ralph and Alice can both have their happiness.
It's truly a tragic love story. A little too much on the sad and depressing side for me which detracted from the significance of the story. I
would have preferred it to be lighter and some action could have been traded for the choice to die. It's not the same sacrifice of pushing
someone out of the path of a speeding car. The decision there is so selfless and instinctive. But the one that Ralph and Alice have to
make is so conscious and the decision seemed obvious. Let's face it anyone who truly loved someone and was in this position would
make the same decision Ralph did.
I wanted a tear jerker but I also wanted those tears to dry up and my heart warmed. I didn't really get that with this book. The writing was
a lot cooler in this part almost tepid. It did not have the spark like most of her other books do. You would need a tall glass of water and
some tissue for this one because it will evoke those tears.

Love can be a bit more complicated than some of us might think.

Love can be a bit more complicated than some of us might think. When Alice and Ralph met at a bar in the first book, they never thought they would end up inlove. What started as a one night stand lasted more than they both bargained for but who’s complaining? Love is funny that way.
In the story, Ralph has a special gift—he can heal people. And Alice is very sick. Is this fate working on them both or is it a sad tragedy waiting to happen? When Ralph found out that Alice is dying, they both decide to spend more time together. This is where the magic begins. Each day they spent together is special for them both because Alice’s days are numbered. Ralph decided he wanted to save Alice no matter what the cost. He has to make one big decision and that is to trade his life for hers.
The book is well written and the characters have spunk and spirit. You can just imagine what’s going through Ralph’s mind when he found out Alice was dying. I can feel for Alice. She’s depressed but she’s putting on a good front for Ralph. Finding love when you’re dying is not something anybody wants to experience. This book will make you feel like an emotional pendulum; one minute jerking you up, the next hammering you down. It’s a rich book that will teach you not to take life and love for granted.  I would recommend this book for those who want a good cry over a love story.

    Time to say goodbye... to?

True love doesn’t always have perfect timing and Ralph and Alice discover this brutal truth when they
meet but it doesn’t stop true love from taking its course.  The couple are instantly bound together from
the moment they meet and have a wild one-night stand together.  Ralph soon finds out that Alice has
only a limited number of days left to live but that does not stop their love from taking its course and they
plan to make the most of the time left… in every way imaginable.  The story takes an interesting twist
when Alice realizes that there is a whole other side to Ralph that she could ever have imagined and in
amidst their blazing passion there is a beautifully tragic twist to this sexy tale as Ralph will do anything to
save the life of his beloved Alice.

Sandra Ross is an experienced writer and she writes in an easy and comfortable style and she is a pro
at combining hot sexiness with a good storyline and she always like to incorporate surprising little twists
to keep us interested.  In this instance she manages to incorporate the paranormal world but she manages
to blend it in so naturally that it feels completely natural.  Sandra will have you on an emotional rollercoaster
with this story but I assure you that whilst it is one hell of a ride, it is most definitely worth buying the ticket for!
Keep a box of tissues close for this one!
