Brilliant Sherlock Holmes. I am a sucker for the Holmes books with his ever faithful Dr Watson. A must for lovers of old detective stories

For fans who can't get enough of Holmes and Watson, here is one final shot to feed their addiction. Short book of fascinating short stories as only ACD can provide. Great read over a weekend. But be warned: you won't be able to do anything else until you complete the book, so set aside several delicious hours to spend with the greatest detective of all time.

"His Last Bow" is the next to the last book in the original Sherlock Holmes set of stories and also the next to the last collection of short stories. The plot lines are probably the most creative of the Holmes stories that I've read so far...but they aren't as much fun to read. Doyle doesn't provide all of the necessary clues for the reader to solve the mystery. Almost all of the stories' solutions involve things that Holmes found out while he was away from Watson...so key pieces of evidence are missing when you try to solve the crimes yourself. "His Last Bow" still contains fun and entertaining adventures...but it's not as engaging as most of the other Sherlock Holmes books. I felt too detached from the solution process.

The only feedback I really wanted to leave regarding this tome is that it has several spelling/punctuation issues throughout the stories. It doesn't necessarily ruin the book or make it incomprehensible, but it does cause me to focus on the errors for a moment - rather than the experience of the story.
