When Sadie Jones, the daughter of cattle baron Horatio Jones, set out on her own in search of her dying birth mother, she got more than she bargained for. She never dreamed the stage would be robbed and she herself taken along with the rest of the loot! After all, being kidnapped was the last thing on her mind that morning. Unfortunately it was the foremost thing that afternoon.

Harrison Cooke, raised by his English mother to be the perfect gentleman, simply went to get the mail, not rescue a damsel in distress! But here he was, attempting to rescue the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and of course, not get them both killed in the process.

But both Harrison and Sadie have a goal. She's trying to rescue her mother. He's trying to save his brothers. That's a lot of rescuing going on. And in the midst of it all, can they rescue each other's hearts?

Cute, fun and sweet!  Looking forward to the other books in the series!  Take a head strong, independent girl. A handsome, kind and very English hero,. And a really mean and dirty outlaw gang.  What a mix!

Like a western fairy tale. Handsome hero (english mum), beautiful heroine (rich daddy) and a couple of really ugly step-brothers. It's a clean read. 14+. JS

    Good young adult book

This book is classified as a novella, or a short novel. It was written for a younger audience, but was good. Being a novella there wasn't time to develop the details in the story as well as I would have liked.

    Liked it

I liked this book. Loved Harrison, he was a great hero for Sadie. Sadie was a sweet girl who was ready to love and care for a mother she had never known. The step brothers were horrible and got what they deserved.

Fun, quick and easy to read.

A little adventure. Dastardly villians. An honorable hero. An independent young lady. What fun. Love, compassion and honor saturate this little story. Fairly good editing I mainly only noticed that the young heroine was titled Ms. I am not aware of that abreviation being used for anything except manuscripts until the 1970s :)
