You wont be disappointed with this book. Just bought the first one. Its a full length book, not a short story. Im tired of paying $7 for a story only 70 pages long. Loved the characters. Cant wait to read more of this authors books. Highly recommend it.

Great book. Although i was disappointed when the epilog was missing 3 or 4 pages!!! The very end of a book is one of my favorite parts! I was introduced to this author by a very good friend and i am very picky about my authors and the style of writting a read. I was throughly impressed with everything about these books. If you are looking to find grest books from an author you haven't before experienced well you have found an amazing writter! Read on and enjoy the were-world!

Shannon is a damsel in distress. After being accosted in a parking lot by several werewolves, who can smell that she is part puma, she flees to hide at the top of a tree. The threats keep coming until Anton, the next Alpha of the tribe comes to her rescue.
Ms. Dohner has spun a Romeo and Juliet style story where the two species are at war, the pumas and the wolves. Anton is like the hunky Alpha heroes that this author has a knack for writing but Shannon isn't a simpering female. She's a bold, if skittish, heroine who is absolutely a complete match for Anton. Their bantering is laugh out loud funny, even though it does get campy from time to time. But the sex is scorching hot and I instantly started rooting for the adorable couple to get together.
I do feel the need to warn about the rape scene. The warnings the publisher tagged this book with of a near rape scene is absolutely no exaggeration. Since this is a romance novel, you can be sure Anton comes riding in on his white horse to save the day (or would that be a black wolf.?) but it's a tad bit uncomfortable. But that was tame compared to the familial sub-plots that literally made my mouth drop open. It would be safe to say Ms. Dohner doesn't hold back in this book.
For the women who love sexy Alpha heroes, I absolutely wholeheartedly recommend His Purrfect Mate to you. Even if you haven't read the first book, which I haven't, it wasn't needed to enjoy this story. I loved this book and Ms. Dohner has a clear winner here.

Soo, Soo Sooo good. If you love paranormal romance w sizzling romance n kicking actions, I highly recommended this book n all the other books written by this author.

I have read most of the books by this author and this is my favorite! In parts of this book i was laughing so hard I nearly fell off my chair. I love this series and i hope she continues to build on it. There are a great many characters for her to work with and I am eager to read about them.

I bought this book 2months ago and read it aleast 4x . I love it very romantic and entertaing, love the hot loven sex. Since i purchased this book i have now read mostly all of lauranna dohners books. Cant wait for tiger story! I can defintley say she is now in my top 5 authers!!!!!

Excellent follow up to the first selection in the Mating Heat Series or an awesome read as a stand alone only. Enjoyed the story line and characters.

Gotta say, I love all of Laurann Dohner's work. As long as you can overlook the poor editing, the books in this series are all great reads.

I think I loved this one better than the first one. Grady was hot in a rude but sexy way while Anton was hot in a tough guy way. Maybe he seemed so tough because Shannon was a tad bit shaky. The story had more action and some tough situations but it was all good in the end. You have to love a tough guy that has a very sweet side. Not my New Species, but I can't wait to see who the next book is about.

I found this book to be disappointing. I've read several of Ms. Dohner's books previously and was pleased especially with the New Species Series and Zorn Warriors Series.
