This was a very intense read and might not be enjoyed to some. Its a short novella but reading it it didn't feel so short because I was enjoying the read and story. I know the author writes multicultural and interracial books but I can't figure out which it is, though I think it's interracial. It also has a paranormal feel to it as both are vampires. Contains explicit, graphic language and sexual acts, anal sex and contains captive scenario, maybe harsh to some.

Razan, is a full-blood crown prince of the first house of Vladhal. He has wanted Shiyan for a decade but could never get her attention and has become slightly obsess with her. Shiyan is a half-blood, princess of the twelfth house, the lowest of the houses and a half blood which is considered very low class. Shiyan is very head strong and defiant at all cost, even when she is now a captive of Razan. She knows how badly Razan wants her, but he can't understand why she doesn't submit to him. These two play a game of cat and mouse until they give in as well as steaming the sheets up with their passion

After they give in Razan's betrothed has come into the mix to cause trouble, because she knows how obsess Razan is with Shiyan. With Razan's betrothed being there a secret about Shiyan has come out that will finally bring her guard down with Razan.

This was a good read for me, it didn't bother me because I'm use to and enjoy these reads. If you feel that captive reads are degrading, then this surely will not be your read.

    Storyline: GOOD
    Intimacy: GOOD
    Enjoyment: GOOD
