Meet the Author

Award-winning and bestselling author Lucy Monroe lives in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, surrounded by a plethora of pets and children (her own, the neighbors, her sisters...). She finds inspiration for her stories everywhere as she is an avid people-watcher. So much so that she disconcerted her husband upon first meeting him when she watched the other dancers as much as she watched him. He thought she wasn't interested...silly man.

She believes there is no stronger emotion than love; that it truly can overcome pain, past rejection and the challenge of finding happiness despite the hardest things life has to offer. She believes in the victorious conclusions found in today's romance. To her, the passionately sensual romance novel is a beautiful expression of the reality of love, packaged in a fantasy readers can enjoy.

When she's not writing, Lucy likes to read--big surprise, that. She can't tell you the latest show going on television, but she loves romantic movies, action adventure and the theater. She adores her family, and is a smatterer when it comes to hobbies...a little of this, a little of that.

Since selling her first book to the Harlequin Presents line in September of 2002, she has sold more than thirty books to three publishers and shows no signs of slowing down in the near future.

Visit her web site to read about all of her books and see flash movies for select releases, including her Harlequin Presents title. She truly loves to hear from readers, and can be reached at lucymonroe@lucymonroe.com.

    A special read

His Royal Love Child is another moving book in Lucy Monroe¿s Royal Brides Series. __________ When Danette Michaels started seeing Prince Marcello Scorsolini she knew it had to be in secret. Since they both work together and because the prince was fodder for the gossip rags. __________________ Prince Marcello remembers the press making his late wife¿s life hell when they didn¿t produce an heir. Plus he now knew his chances of getting a woman with child were slim. So he was shocked when Danette turns up pregnant. __________________ Danette is no longer willing to be Marcello¿s little secret. She wants to tell the world but she won¿t accept his marriage proposal until she has his love. But Marcello is afraid to put his heart on the line again. _____________ Can these two headstrong people realize their hearts desire? ______________ His Royal Love Child is another exceptional book by Lucy Monroe. The sexual tension between them scorches every page. Watching them work through their problems to find an abiding love is what every romance book should be.

HIS ROYAL LOVE CHILD TOOK MY BREATH AWAY

If you read Lucy Monroe¿s Wedding Vow of Revenge you were first introduced to Danette Michael¿s (Tara¿s friend and co-worker). Danette falls under the spell of Ray who uses their relationship to further his career. He betrays Danette and Tara by taking photos in hopes of furthering his career as a reporter. Danette accepts an offer from Angelo her former employer to move to Italy and goes to work at Scorsolini Shipping. She falls in love with the owner Prince Marcello Scorsolini has a secret affair and becomes pregnant. Danette is tired of their relationship being a secret one and wants their relationship to go public. Marcello, on the other hand wants secrecy so that his lover won¿t be hurt by the press. He knows first hand what the press can do¿..the press published his sterility during his first marriage all over the tabloids. When he finds out that Danette is pregnant with his child he is ecstatic and wants marry immediately. From that moment on, Danette is unsure of their relationship, everything is moving too fast and she wants LOVE from him and doesn¿t feel she can have it as Marcello still lives and mourns the loss of his first wife. Theirs is a turbulent love story and a sweet ending. What I found so amazing about this particular book was how the author used two medical issues, sterility and a genetic spinal deformity and created such an incredibly sweet love story. This author uses these two factors plus their uncertainty of each other and what they both define as love and weaves wonderful tale. I loved Danette¿s spunk and 'zippy' personality. I also felt her pain when she thought Marcello only wanted to marry her because of the baby. This couple both learn many lessons about love. They both learn ¿love shouldn¿t be selfish and it shouldn¿t hold back out of self-protection. Love shouldn¿t make a woman a doormat, but it should make her strong enough to take risks she wouldn¿t otherwise take.¿ Monroe¿s alpha male Marcello Scorsolini is proud and passionate and will take your breath away. She also incorporates the other family members into this storyline, the King, his x-wife Marcello¿s mother Flavia plus his two brother¿s and their wives. This book only sparks the reader¿s interest to ¿crave¿ more. I can¿t wait for Claudio and Therese¿s story in the next book in the series. Again, Lucy Monroe has written not just an incredible book and an incredible series for her readers and fans. Book Summary: Danette Michaels knew the rules when she became Principe Marcello Scorsolini¿s secret mistress. There would be no marriage, no future, and no public acknowledgement. All she¿d have was his hard Sicilian body and his undivided passion. At the time, it was enough. But Danette can¿t be a dirty little secret any longer. She wants all or nothing ¿ and that means their affair is over. Until a pregnancy test changes everything

    What¿s not to like?

Lucy Monroe writes romance like no-one else! This book is not for the faint of heart, Danette Michaels and Principe Marcello Scorsolini have some explosive chemistry going between them, but that is not all they have going for them¿ Marcello have a strong personality, and that is a really important trait in a prince, but he is not always what we can call ¿prince charming¿ and Danette learned that the hard way. They have to overcome some obstacles, and in order to be able to be together and stay together they have to learn a lot from each other. There is a lot going on, just like all the characters Lucy bring to life these two are not weak ones, they are strong willed, but at the same time have a lot of passion and a soft heart. Lucy can write a heart tugging story and the way she does it amazes me every time. The good thing is no matter what, there is always a happy ending, but getting there is what keeps the reader glued to the book from the first page to the last. Great book Lucy!
