Overview

(37,924 words)

Lord Bonar De Sky known as the Black Boar by his legion of warriors lays siege to the Saxon stronghold of Garth. The Saxon wench, Kiana, is captured helping Welsh bowmen escape off the cliffs. Bonar's second in command wants her whipped as the enemy. But Bonar impetuously decides to keep her as his slave.

Kiana is forced to Bonar's tent, stripped naked and bound against escaping. Now she is the fierce Norman warrior's slave. When Bonar breaks the siege, he returns to his tent wild-eyed with the blood lust of victory, and he is intent on taking his Saxon slave beneath him. "Berserkers" Kiana's people call warriors like Bonar and she fears that the strong Norman lord will take her heart and soul as no man has done before.

But when the liege-heir, Sinnot, demands Kiana as his spoils of war it takes Bonar's strength to hold his beautiful Saxon slave. This story is a rich Medieval tale, where a slave is a slave, and warriors can be rough, yet still, darkly handsome barbarians.

Favorite Lines:

Yet, he was already upon her, down on his knees beside her, tugging the fur away from her nude body underneath. “You will not deny me, Saxon slave,” he growled, as his fist tangled into the hair at the back of her head.

Then he pulled the long tresses, forcing her neck to arch backward, bowing her naked body toward him. She was supine beneath him and completely powerless “Do I have the need to take a lash to you?” he asked coarsely, shifting his intense gaze over the nakedness as he shook her head using the hair he held, and he hissed, “Answer me!”

She was a coward, Kiana judged with agony, she was naught but a weakling coward, even as she cried out in terror and confusion. “Yes, beat me, for I will never willingly be your slave!”

“You would never hold against the pain. Your mere fragileness will defeat you,” he muttered angrily, still holding her body arched to his rabid gaze. “Yet if you insist to test me, I have no choice, but to prove it to you.”

    ABSOLUTELY GREAT READ!!!

When you pick this book up, you won't put it down until you either force yourself to, or you finish it. This is definitely going to be a more than one time "read"

    was this even proofread?

I didn't read this with the expectation that this would be a book I'd remember - and I was right - but I DID expect a book that you have to pay for to have been proofread for grammatical errors. WRONG! From a million unnecessary commas to mistakes in basic grammar, this looked like it was written by someone with a middle-school education... except there would be entire paragraphs with REALLY big words (insert eye roll) that tried to convince me otherwise. Again, I wasn't expecting "high literature" but if I was the publisher, I'd be ashamed.

    Disliked - Save your money

I was curious about this book. This is a lesson learned. Don't purchase a Nook book when sitting in B&N without a good jolt of coffee. Sorry but the story was sloppy. Not worth the money...save the money and buy a coffee instead.

    Great Short Read

The begining story line is weak but it does become stronger as the story goes on and the characters become more real.

This book is for a very specific audience.

Beware that the main character in this book is treated horribly by everyone. I've read two of her other books and they were both Erotic, medieval, captive stories where the woman are talked to harshly and demanded around and those where fine and I liked those books but this one was different. She is paraded around naked for entire rooms of men to see. She's groped and spanked at every turn, by men that are not the main male character. She's whipped by a slave herder and made so bow with her face on the floor and her whelped and naked butt in the air for two hours while the other slaves walk around her. I was hard to read all of the torture and humiliation she's put through. So be forewarned that this one is for people who get off on the main female being abused, beaten and humiliated.

P.S. If there are any men reading this book believe me when I tell you that this is a fantasy book and very far from reality. DO NOT EVER treat a woman this way and think she's actually going to end up in love with you. Demand that a kidnapped stranger call you master and worship your cock and you're going to get your eyes scratched out and rightfully so.

Sex is great, plot is terrible

If you are into really nasty erotica, this is a book for you. It has no plot, and a slave girl who finds that she like giving special favors to her "master". Has the potential to be a better book if the author concentrated on the plot as much as the sex. 3 stars only for the sex scenes. The actual story gets 1 star.
