I read the first book in this series and greatly enjoyed it. This one was good but I didn't get the same I don't want to put it down feel. I think in part is because I really like the whole meet and curiousity in getting to know one another stories. In this they already had a several occasions past. All in all though I love Robin's style of writing but this is probably a three and half star for me.

The anxiously awaited story of Lucky and Taylor is finally here! And let me tell you, what a story it is! The story, however, starts long before page one...the history between these two lovers began way back when. Ms. Covington has a way of telling a story that makes the characters leap off of the page and into your heart, where they stay long after the last page is turned.
This is the second book in the series of "The Boys Are Back In Town" and I can't wait for the next two books to arrive. Write, Robin, write!

Taylor is a selfish hag. She knows Lucky has feelings for her and instead of letting him be so he doesn't get hurt by her further, she pushes for an affair she knows will lead nowhere. All she cares about is her own gratification. Don't like her at all.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

It had it all, heartwarming southern atmosphere, a strong story plot, very likeable and realistic protagonists, very down to earth and developed main characters with the chemistry between them sweet and passionate; last but not least, the sex was steamy!! Thank you Robin!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

His Southern Temptation was such a fun and sexy read! The story of a guy who falls for his best friend's sister is one of my very favorites. I loved that Lucky and Taylor already had a long history and an established relationship. This history has the story beyond the "getting to know you" phase and into the heart of the story, Lucky convincing Taylor to take a chance on love.
Lucky Landon is my favorite kind of book guy. He's sexy (of course!), but also a genuinely good guy who cares a lot for his family and friends. Lucky was a former Marine, and had spent years doing covert operations that left him wanting the peace and comfort of him. Over the years, Lucky would meet up with Taylor, the younger sister of his best friend. Lucky found peace in Taylor and now hopes to convince her to stay and take a chance at a real relationship. OH! Here's a biggie (for me): Lucky has dark blond hair. Now this might not seem like pertinent information to some, but for someone who really likes dudes with dark blond hair, it's a huge plus! Don't get me wrong, I like a sexy dark haired guy as much as the next lady, but it seems almost every single book has one.
It's always nice to have a book in which the guy is chasing the girl, and the one who wants more. Taylor is definitely a lady who's hard to catch. And she has no interest in a true relationship with Lucky, or so she would like to think. Taylor was fun, a real free spirit who doesn't want to end up in a loveless relationship like her parents. I really appreciate authors who write women like Taylor. Women who are comfortable with themselves, their bodies, and with pleasure. And speaking of pleasure, this book had lots of it! Lucky and Taylor had been hooking up for so long and knew each others wants and pleasures so well. They were intense in their intimate moments, but also had a lot of fun.
His Southern Temptation is exactly what I'm looking for when I want a fun a steamy read. I spent a huge amount of time reading and swooning, but just as much time laughing. I haven't read the first book in the series, a companion, but I definitely will. Robin Covington is an author that I can highly recommend and will be excited to read more from in the future.

His Southern Temptation is just as hot as the first book! All the boys are back in Robin's second installment and they don't disappoint. Couldn't put the book down--perfect beach read! Looking forward to the next story in the series! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

## Awesome read. I loved both the hero and the heroine. This hero was not just hot, but "hang on while I pick my tongue up off of the floor" hot. They had amazing chemistry. Did I want to smack the heroine a couple of times for not coming around sooner? Oh, hell yeah. But still a fantastic read. And kudos to the author for rewarding her readers with such a satisfying ending. Loved it!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This was a good solid book. It took me a little while to get into it, but I think part of that was because I had not read the first one in the series, so perhaps there was some history that would have made more sense to me if I had read A Night of Southern Comfort. This was my first book by Robin Covington and I enjoyed her storytelling.
The characters are well developed and I really enjoyed Lucky and Taylor. They both had a lot to overcome to find their happy ever after. I also felt like Robin did a nice job of making their feelings and emotions very real. They responded to things in the way you expected and you really wanted them to work. Taylor is not a princess, which I really liked about her. I have an inner bad girl that I never act on so it was fun to live through her a little. She is exactly the type of girl Lucky needs.
The intimate scenes were nicely done and were appropriate for both the characters and the story. Robin writes them with plenty of passion but doesn't cross the line into too much detail. I really enjoyed several of the secondary characters and look forward to going back to A Night of Southern Comfort to read Jack and Michaela's story. If you like contemporary romance with great characters, a good plot, and lots of love and friendship, I recommend you try His Southern Temptation.

This is my first book from Robin Covington and the 2nd in The Boys are Back in Town series. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Even tho this was book#2 you didnt feel like it. But now that I know there is a 1 I will be reading that one also. The story is about a military man(I live in a military town in Virginia) from Virginia(see) returning home to help find a girl that is missing and help save the family farm. Things get a little off track when Lucky runs into his on again off again booty call and things pick up where they left off. Only problem is Lucky has fallen for Taylor and she just wants no stings. It's an awesome book. There are so many lines in the book that Lucky says to Taylor trying to tell her how much he loves that that some of them made me go "Awwwwww" and tear up. You know thats a good book if it can do that to you. I cant wait to read #1 and am keeping my eye out for #3!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I was lucky (pun intended :)) to score an ARC of HIS SOUTHERN TEMPTATION. So very, very glad I didn't have to wait because Covington hit this one out of the park.
I won't bore you with a summary b/c there's already one up there. I'll just get straight to what I liked: Taylor. OMG, do I love a bad girl heroine. Taylor's not misunderstood. She's not sorry. She knows what she wants and she gets it.
Then there's Lucky who can't help himself when he's around Taylor. He knows she's bad for him, but there's no denying the attraction AND the fact that she can loosen him up like no one else can.
I don't get to read a ton of contemporary fiction so it was really refreshing to read about characters who are kept apart because of wounds they gave to each other--not because the world will end or something. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but Covington mined her MCs' histories and personalities for road blocks and it worked brilliantly for me. They felt like real people.
Just majorly better looking :)

This is one of those reads that just flies by!
Taylor and Lucky have been going in different directions practically their whole life. However every time they landed in the same place at the same time things always got very hot! So when they both ended up in their home town at the same time it didn't take long for that old spark to blaze again. Only problem is that Lucky is all in but Taylor has no intention on staying in the small town. She has plans in Hawaii. Can Lucky convince her that they are meant to be? Or will she leave like she always does?
His Southern Temptation Was a great read. It it's the ground running from the first page and doesn't stop until the end. Full of passion, drama, and suspense you'll not want to put this book down. I loved Lucky and how he can be so jaded and hard on the outside but how soft he is when it came to Taylor. He just melted for her and at times made me want to protect him from her. Taylor had me wanting to smack some sense into her. Don't get me wrong I loved her but the way she keeps Lucky hanging on at times got to me.
Overall this was a sweet, romantic read with a really HOT guy! lol

LUcky, he knows what he wants
Lucky is done with the fast paced life of a special ops Marine and is ready to settle down, going to his hometown with the intent on buying the family farm. When a friend asks him to help him out to find a missing woman, he lands up face to face with the local mob boss with the most unlikely partner. And finds more than he could ever ask for in his hometown.
Taylor is a fast paced rebel, according to her aristocratic family, who has no intent on staying in Elliot. She only came back to help sell the family home so she could take the money back to hawaii with her and start her new life and business far away from this place. But everything changes when she runs into her older brothers best friend, who also happen to be her play toy several times throughout the years of her absence from Elliot.
I don't hand out 5 stars very often in books but I just had to on this one. It wasn't just the typical love story of the girl comes home and falls back in love with her passed. I loved this book because it had the romance and passion that we all love but it also had twists, plots, and villains. I loved the characters and the setting that the author created! This was an excellent read!!!

Lucky is back in town tired of working for the government and determined to buy his father's farm and settle down to live a quiet life.
Taylor is back in town to help pack up her family's belongings before they sell the house.
But neither of them was counting in seeing each other again... especially not sharing a house for three weeks...
His Southern Temptation is a sexy, sweet and intriguing read.
Lucky is all you want in a man. He has a dark past he's trying to forget, but he's determined and boy does he know how to charm a woman. He's equal parts funny, intense, sweet and HOT.
Taylor on the other hand is more of a wild child. She's not looking for marriage, just a few weeks of fun between good friends and perfect lovers while they're on the same place. But Lucky wants more... and he's gonna make this three weeks worth it.
I can't tell you how emotional this book is. Taylor and Lucky will break your heart, have you screaming in frustration and believing in love all in the same scene.
In a way they do want the same: Each other. But they also want to go after their dreams, and that is in different states... let's not forget that Taylor has a bit of commitment issues so yeah... heartbreak is near and constant.
The pull they feel for each other is intense, and the way they fit together feels as natural as breathing.
Ms. Covington really makes a wonderful job bringing this wild and sweet characters to life and making them real in the pages. The emotions are so well written that you can really connect to the book.
The pace is great, with lots of action both in the bed and out thanks to the mob going after Taylor. I really liked that touch to the story, it give Taylor and Lucky a perfect opportunity to decide what to do. The secondary characters add in a funny way to the story.. and sometimes they don't really help them but they make it entertaining.
I'm really looking forward to the other books in this series.

Lucky Isn’t Lucky, or Is He?
Trouble seems to follow Lucky Logan, even his father says so. So what kind of trouble has found Lucky?
Her name is Taylor Elliott.
Robin proves that distance makes the heart grow fonder in her new book, His Southern Temptation.
A sporadic hot and erotic relationship comes to a head when both Lucky and Taylor find themselves
back in their home town.
With the ins and outs of Taylor causing complications in Lucky’s plans for the future, the fresh memories
of her own parent’s divorce, not to mention her past poor choices in relationship material, Robin has
woven a tale that would make the hopeful romantic proud. This story is the perfect blend for a great weekend
or beach vacation sizzling romantic read.

His Southern Temptation manages to be a sweet romance with liberal hot, steamy sex in multiple locations and a good measure of suspense. You will absolutely fall in love with these characters. David ""Lucky"" Landon is a former special-ops Marine that has returned to his hometown to take over the family farm. He is staying at the home of one of his best friends when he is awakened by the sound of a bullet being chambered near his head. He disarms the person and finds Mary-Taylor Elliott. Lucky and Taylor have known each other for all of their lives s and had sporadic affairs for the last 10 years.
Lucky has been waiting for an opportunity to make their arrangement permanent, but Taylor is scarred by the failure of her past relationships and the demise of her parent's marriage. I enjoyed this turnabout normally the female is pining away loving the male and waiting for him to choose her, but this book is not your typical formulaic romance. Neither Lucky nor Taylor deny themselves the pleasure of each other's body and when Lucky turns up the heat to convince Taylor to stay ----get ready to sweat because this is one Marine determined to accomplish his mission.
I loves that Taylor and Lucky genuinely loved each other (by the way he told her he loved her first--Lucky is some kind of alpha man). Taylor even goes so far as to work at a strip club to help Lucky with his case. Lucky is willing to give up his life savings to pay Taylor's ransom after she is kidnapped by a devious businessman. You also get a real sense of Taylor's conflict between choosing to stay for Lucky and returning to Hawaii to own a business. The reader is able to see how the mix of her experience with failed relationships and her mother's failed marriage make her doubt herself and the ability of their relationship to survive. Through restaurant fights, strip club brawls, meddling family members, and a kidnapping Lucky and Taylor realize love is not limited to time or place and other's don't have to understand or approve because their love is a force all its own that will not be denied. This is a story that will resonate with any modern woman that has questioned whether she can really have it all. You will enjoy Taylor as a strong, feisty heroine that isn't afraid of her sexuality and Lucky as a strong hero that risks everything to make himself vulnerable to have the love he's always wanted.

I received this book from a publicist in exchange of an honest review.
“Lucky” Landon, is a former Black Ops assassin who is finally out of that business and is starting a new slate back at his small hometown. His sexy, smart, protective alpha male that made this book as indulgent as it sounded. The last thing Lucky expected was to end up at gunpoint or that the person at the end of the gun would be his best friends little sister Taylor Elliot, a girl who plagues his mind and up until now his on-again and off-again lover.
His Southern Temptation is the second book in The Boys Are Back in Town and although it can be read as a stand-alone, the book leaves much more to be desired. It's steamy, dangerous, funny, exciting, and sinfully indulgent. I have to admit that it was my naughty read of the week, and I whole honestly loved it. Besides the chemistry that flames page after page between Lucky and Taylor, it was fun, witty and surprisingly good.
Lucky is now working with Jack in hopes of finding a missing girl brings action and danger to the table including in a form of Taylor Elliot who is trouble with a capital T. The girl has her own dirty little secrets that are hard to keep in a small town, especially were gossip spreads quickly. After stranding her fiancee at the alter and stealing Lucky's car, Taylor fled down after the scandal and is only back now to help her brother sell her parents house. Seeing Taylor was the last thing Lucky expected, but the passion between them is stronger then ever, and the pull becomes simple magnetic when the two end up staying in the same house together. With Taylor butting into Lucky's mission, he ends up with bigger problems on his hands when he has to protect Taylor from the local mob boss who wants her dead and might have connections to the missing girl.
I loved the characters and the engaging storyline and I absolutely loved Lucky - a dominant male who knows what he wants and finds ways of getting it - even if it means that he has to seduce Taylor Elliot into staying and not leaving him back for Hawaii. Of course Lucky comes with a big heart. With his dads business on the line he is stuck in a battle that can have him risking it all, including his heart as emotions and sparks continue to fly.
Robin Covington really knows how to write a steamy, emotional after hours temptation romance with memorable characters that have me craving for more.
