IN THE ARMS OF HER PROTECTOR?

Audrey Sussman never imagined a routine audit at her boss's ranch would turn her into a fugitive, hiding out in New Mexico's desert canyons with a handsome stranger. Burnt-out cop Gray Murdoch insisted he was the one person she couldn't trust, yet whenever he touched her, she heard her heart whisper otherwise.

Gray knew the last thing he needed was a woman like Audrey—beautiful, and in desperate danger. But his code of honor demanded that he cast his troubled past aside until he could deliver Audrey to safety. Still, he couldn't deny the passion that drew them together, nor the fact that Audrey's innocent faith made him feel alive—and once more able to love.

You know how it is when you find a new author, and then you can't find any NEW books? When is this author going to have more books out? I love Intimate Moments, read them all the time, but can't find more books by this author. About this book. It's great. Audrey Sussman is an ordinary woman I identified with--no superhero here. She bleeds, she's afraid, and she should be since someone on the remote guest ranch where she's been sent wants her dead. The hero, Gray Murdoch, oh yum. He's tortured because men in his family habitually abuse women, and he doesn't trust himself. So poignant was a scene where Audrey goads him into proving that he really is the tender, strong man she falls in love with. The setting is vivid, the characters so well drawn you can almost see them. I can't wait to find more books from this author.
