Overview

Sidney Greensboro has never known love. Never experienced passion. She’s a wayward soul traveling through life by the seat of her pants, waiting for the right guy to come along, and in the meantime screwing up relationship after relationship for no apparent reason.

When she meets troubled billionaire James Ellison though, their worlds collide in a fit of ecstasy the likes of which neither of them has ever experienced, as James commands and conquerors Sidney beyond her wildest fantasies. Now she doesn’t know what to think, as the many faces of the complex billionaire are revealed. She’s not sure if he’s the one, or if he’s just looking for someone to help fix him.

It’s the start of a tumultuous journey that will lead them down the rabbit hole together, to a place neither of them ever expected.

EXCERPT:

Despite all the money he had, the possessions, the admiration of peers, James Ellison was a troubled soul. Much like myself. How else could I explain his controlling nature? The cameras? The pivot toward domination rather than submission? There was something about him, something buried deep inside his heart of hearts that ached, and he hid it as best he could. When he was around me though, it seemed to shine through, despite only knowing him for a brief moment. Yet I felt it too. The same alienation, like you’ve never really belonged anywhere in the world. I had that. I’d moved from job to job over the course of my life, town-to-town, never really comfortable with where I was but rather just settling until my feet started to itch and it was time to move on. Sure, I had hopes and dreams like everyone else, but no gumption to see them to fruition. I played the cards I was dealt, much like James had. Only he had turned over a royal flush, while I was stuck with a single, solitary pair.

I wanted to help fix him. For us to fix one another. It was madness, I know, but I felt that he wanted that too, and if we couldn’t? Well we’d be for each other what no one else could. Confidents. Companions. Traveling together through this life until we both returned to the ground from which we came.

James let go of my hand and spun around in his chair. I backed away, giving him some space, and when he was in place I returned to my spot, which was just inches away from him. Our eyes met, him looking up at me and I down at him, and he placed his palms on my hips. His grip was soft and sensual. Not anything like before. There was a kindness there, and it touched my heart.

I leaned over and kissed him. Our lips danced together as one and I soon found myself seated in his lap with my arms wrapped around his shoulders. He wore the same suit and bow tie he had been dressed in when I first met him, and I thought back to that moment again while we kissed. Nothing about it indicated that we should be here like this now. It had been a moment of lust. Two people fucking like animals, one submitting to the other. There had been a connection there though. A spark. Both of us knew it, and it was as if those sparks had known each other for all eternity and had been lost, only to find one another again in this world. I couldn’t explain it. Didn’t want to explain it. I just wanted James Ellison, and he wanted me.
