Overview

Trapped with a billionaire in his mysterious mansion... Can she beat him at his own game?

Lily Frazer would do anything to save the Frazer Center for the Arts-even take on the infamous billionaire Calder Cunningham. When Lily breaks onto the Cunningham estate, she only wants to find and reason with Calder. (All right, all right, she wants to punch him in the face, too, but that's Plan B.) As it turns out, the arrogant billionaire is willing to give her the money he promised, but there's a catch: she must win it from him.

And the games he has in mind aren't exactly... innocent.

Lily isn't about to give up the money without a fight (or let some haughty bastard seduce her), but she quickly discovers that there might be more to the brooding Calder than she initially perceived. As their games of cat and mouse become increasingly intense, she suddenly finds herself confused by her own emotions. Can she deny her attraction long enough to win the money she needs?

A contemporary, steamy take on Beauty and the Beast, His Wicked Games is a tale of devilish deeds, wild passions, and wicked romance.

Meet the Author

Ember Casey is a twenty-something writer who lives in Atlanta, Georgia in a den of iniquity (or so she likes to tell people). When she's not writing steamy romances, you can find her whipping up baked goods (usually of the chocolate variety), traveling (her bucket list is infinite), or generally causing trouble (because somebody has to do it).

This book was great! Really steamy sex scenes. Very easy to read but not like a smut book short story.
Good story line made it a fast read but in a good way.  Supposed to be a book two coming soon but this one has enough closure in the end on its own
to not make you want to rip your hair out waiting for the second one.

I did not know what to think about this book when I started read

I did not know what to think about this book when I started reading it, but it pulled me in at page one. I love how it started. Lily outside of Calder’s house yelling at him to open the gates to his driveway. Yes, he is a handsome billionaire who lives in a mansion. Lily yells that she is not leaving his property until he comes out and talks to her about the pledge he broke. I loved that in Lilly. It was so funny and I love what happened after.

Did I feel connected to the characters? Yes. I liked Lily even though she was a little pushy, but I think it suited her character in this story. I liked Calder and his “games.”
    Pace of the story: Good
Positives: The story flowed very nicely. It was steamy and I loved the games that were played between the characters. It built the sexual tension between the two characters. I love the whole concept that they were stuck in the mansion for an entire weekend while there were heavy storms outside. There is something sexy and romantic about that whole scenario. And I love a good game of hide and seek.
Negatives: This is the only thing that is bothered me about this book was the letter that Calder mailed Lily. If I would have received it not be able to forgive him. That letter has been bugging me two days after I finished reading the book. I don’t want to give away what was in that letter, but it made me feel a little differently about Calder. Yes, there were apologizes, but I still did not like it. Once he explained why he wrote it the letter to Lily, I kind of understood, but it still rubbed me the wrong way.
    Do I recommend? Yes.
Bottom line: I love these stories where there is flirting and a rich billionaire playboy falls for regular cute girl.

Book Format Read: A copy was provided by the author in return for an honest review.

    Funny

This book was awesome. I love the character voice. She is so funny that I laughed out loud several times. I could easily connect with her and her struggles. This book is 185 pages. Enjoy!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair/honest review.

Loved this book. The characters were fun and intense at times.
There is little down time in this story-be prepared to hit the ground running (personally I freakin love that!).
Lily is strong, determined, sexy and funny as hell.
Calder is a slice of heaven with two scoops of sin on top.
The chemistry between the two is hot, hot, hot.
I adore the way Lily is written. She doesn't hesitate to tell Calder to F**k off when he turns his arrogance toward her.
Calder is your typical sexy billionaire but there's a twist.
So many fun moments in this book. LOVED the "secret passageway" scenes. I actually curled my toes in trying to blend into the wall with Lily. There were many times I lost myself in the book with Lily-the writing style is that easy.
    And then there's Garrett-grrr......
This can be read as a stand alone but I can't wait for the 2nd.
It was so much fun to read, super fast page turner, finished it in a day.

My Thoughts: I snagged a copy of this one while it was on sale.

    My Thoughts:

I snagged a copy of this one while it was on sale. It sounded very intriguing, like it had a lot of depth to it outside the romantic rendezvous. Let me tell you... it SOOO did. Very much. Much more than I ever dreamed possible.

Lily has a determination I can get behind. Of course, not everything goes as planned... especially when she's stranded there with Calder. Hot, sexy Calder... who owes the art center money. She can't let him get away with it. Then they begin the games, these little bets to get what they want. Of course, those start off innocent, and begin to quickly turn into something much steamier. MUCH steamier. *fans self* There's just something about the sexiness that which is Calder.

While these games go on (and on), there's much more going on outside of it. This story isn't all about the romance, like I said above. There's a lot happening for both Lily and Calder outside their games. And these things, well, let's just say none of it can be taken lightly. And, as usual, this little tryst may have more to it than either of them anticipated. Considering all things, who could resist from wanting more? I know I sure couldn't.

His Wicked Games was, quite simply, one of the sexiest books I've read. Lily and Calder were a great pairing, and their chemistry was undeniable. The story went deeper than most, which I loved. Ember Casey has definitely earned a place in my favorites. I couldn't stop reading, I had this whole book devoured so quickly, it pained me to find out the next book wasn't released yet (lucky for YOU, Truth Or Dare has been released since). I highly recommend this book (well, this whole series) to anyone and everyone!

    My Rating: Exceptional

    Captivating

The story of Tessa as she comes to understand who she is, even in her new form, as well as her old, is mesmerizing. I cannot express how wonderful this book is. Action packed, romance, vengeance-- I'm wondering why you aren't reading yet!

I will never think of hide and seek the same way again. Super se

I will never think of hide and seek the same way again. Super sexy story! This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Got it free on Amazon.
Not only are there great sex scenes, but the interactions between the main characters have a bit of meat to them.
It doesn't go as deep as it could, but I didn't feel it was lacking at all. I'm looking forward to more of this story.
I will definitely grab the next one. I love how it made me feel like a kid again with the games they played but it also had a super hot element to it. Seems like a strange combo of feelings but it totally works!

Could not finish this due to such an unlikeable character.

This story must have been written just to get to the sex. The female is too immature with no class whatsoever. She sounds more like a gutter rat with a bad attitude. I cannot see the hero being interested in her at all, nor can I see her working with the public in an art-related business. I think this author could do so much better.

    The passage ways were cool...

...but the story was very repetative, without much detail to the story outside the one main focus.

    The book is OK.

While it was enjoyable to read, there wasn't anything about the story that made it stand out from 100 others just like it.

    Too many "I's"

It would have been a great read, if I could get past all the "I's" that started a lot of the paragraphs. I felt like I was reading narratives from my eighth graders. Another issue is that instead of telling us what the character is doing, have the character show us.

    MY THOUGHTS~

I chose to read this book because I received an ARC of Red Hot Obsessions for review and this book was included in it.
This was my first experience in reading anything by author, Ember Casey. I am impressed! Her writing is well done and her characters are well developed.
I enjoyed the entire dynamic of this story. This is not your average love story by any means. Rather, it has exciting twists and unexpected turns. The majority took place over a few days and was mostly in a single location, but it didn't really feel that way. I had trouble putting it down because I couldn't wait to see what happened next!
I look forward to reading more of Ember Casey's work!

Immature best describes this book. The writer is very immature. The story, the characters, the passion was all very poorly written.
