More About This Book

Overview

The provocative lord who accosts Elizabeth Merriman on the street has to be the Angel of Ruin. He looks the part of a fallen immortal, with a face that can easily tempt unwary females into oblivion or worse-and the one thing the prim miss has to avoid at all costs is temptation More damning than the girl's bewitching curves, Lord Chandler decides, are her protestations of innocence. He has come for a woman who filched a fortune from his friend, but finds a girl who claims never even to have stolen a kiss. Yet, to the rakish viscount, Miss Elizabeth looks far less pure than seductive. Is this the beauty who has betrayed his friend? Certainly she has stolen Chan's heart. Now all he has to decide is what is love, and what is simply . . . his wicked will?

    Another romance from Pat Cody

This is Pat Cody's third Romance novel. I have her first book and now wait for each book. Pat's attention to the details of the language and the attitudes of that time is true. There is spice to give the plot pizzazz and the characters believablity.

A Regency with honest emotions and delightful characters

If you enjoy strong heroines, compassionate heroes and memorable characters, this book is for you. Pat Cody has a real talent for putting emotions into words and evoking the same feelings in the reader. Her depiction of the Regency period brings the setting to life, complete with flimsy gowns, tight pantaloons and peculiar social mores. No contrived gimmicks or time-worn plot lines here. The central characters have true, believable conflicts with each other and within themselves. As rich a drama as any on the stage, this is one story you won't soon forget. Now if Pat could have only included another amusing Scottie... (Catch her best pooch in 'Kept By A Countess' - a keeper from her backlist.)
