Overview

Lucho Gatica is one of the legends of popular Chilean music whose career spans over seven decades. This collection, issued on Universal's Venevision imprint, finds the great singer revisiting many of his hits with a who's-who of contemporary Latin and pop vocalists. Produced by KC Porter and Humberto Gatica (Lucho's nephew), these 11 boleros include duets with Mexican vocalist Lucero ("Perfidia"), merengue all-star Olga Tanon ("Sin Ti"), Puerto Rican vocalist Luis Fonsi ("La Barca"), and fellow Chilean Beto Cuevas ("No Me Platique"). Other participants include everyone from Nelly Furtado and Michael Buble, to Il Volo, Pepe Aguilar and Ricardo Montaner. What it all amounts to is a celebration of Gatica and his career as he is paid tribute by three generations of singers.
