Historias para Contar de Este Lado del Río, es una serie de artículos que formaron parte de una columna periodística creada por Guadalupe Ramos que se inauguró en el 2004 en La Voz Hispana de Connecticut y que luego siguió desarrollándose hasta el 2011 en otros periódicos de habla hispana en el estado de Connecticut como Los Andes-La Opinión, El Canillita News y El Sol News. El propósito de esta columna ha sido dar a conocer los logros de algunos integrantes de la comunidad latina en Connecticut y en New York, individuos inmigrantes que a pesar de infortunios y obstáculos, se han destacado en las artes, los estudios, la política, la gastronomía, los servicios de salud y de comunidad. Estos artículos se escribieron con base en unas entrevistas que la autora realizó entre el 2004 y el 2011. El contenido de estas historias junto con la destreza estilística y literaria de su autora van mucho más allá que una mera crónica periodística. Sin sacrificar la veracidad de los hechos, Ramos magistralmente logra expresar las sensiblerías y los sentimientos más puros y sinceros de sus protagonistas. Más que portavoz de una serie de éxitos de una comunidad inmigrante, la autora es una mensajera que ha venido cuidadosamente coleccionando recuerdos y relatos de índole humanamente universal.
