About the Author

Author and artist Mary Atwood is a long-time resident of the First Coast area, whose deep appreciation of its natural beauty, rich history and diverse culture is often reflected in her work. Her fine art photography has won numerous awards and has been exhibited internationally. William Weeks is a graduate of Florida State University, where he majored in Creative Writing. He has applied his writing skills to a variety of venues from instructional design and corporate training to spoken word and theater. A lifelong resident of the area, he has enjoyed being a part of the writing of Historic Homes of Florida's First Coast. Bill is also a blogger and can be found online at www.catzenspace.com. Dr. Wayne W. Wood is the founder of Riverside Avondale Preservation, Inc., one of the largest neighborhood preservation groups in the South. He is also the founder of the Riverside Arts Market, which is Florida's largest free weekly arts and entertainment venue. He has published fourteen books on architecture and history. Retired after many decades as an optometrist, Wayne now lists his profession as Arts Agitator.
