"Until the arrival of Cheryl MacLennan's book, no one has chronicled this unique collection of important Texas architecture. MacLennan's color photographs are exceptionally well executed and aptly illustrate the architectural features of the structures, both interior and exterior. This book will be an important asset to architects and historic preservationists as a record of this period and style of our architectural heritage."
-Weldon Nash, Jr., Construction Specifications Institute fellow

"For over a decade, my wife and I have admired Cheryl MacLennan's beautiful photography of the antebellum and Victorian homes in Jefferson, Texas. We are ecstatic that she has decided to put this wonderful grouping of photos and information together. The tourists who visit Jefferson each year can now take home a superb representation of our delightful homes and scenery to share with friends and family."
-Joe Lee, Jefferson City alderman, Historic Jefferson Foundation
