About the Author

Anthony D. Hill, emeritus professor, Department of Theatre, The Ohio State, is a writer, director, and administrator who also taught at Queens College, Vassar College and University of California at Santa Barbara. He is author of The A to Z of African American Theatre (2009); Historical Dictionary of African American Theatre (2008); and Pages from the HarlemRenaissance: A Chronicle of Performance (1996, fourth printing).
