Editorial Reviews

This source is essential for all Pacific collections and is highly recommended for all academic libraries.
Reference Reviews
Indispensable for all academic reference libraries with any interest in the Pacific, Polynesia, history and for all Oceanists everywhere.
Presents historical information on a dozen independent nations or states in a triangle in the South Pacific between New Zealand, Hawaii, and Easter Island. The reference is admittedly provisional, until such studies can be made for each of the nations (and until the heads of states start answering letters), but until then, students of the area have little else to draw on. Works for the neighboring Micronesia and Melanesia are also planned. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
