Meet the Author

Julie Whitaker and Ian Whitelaw are English-born authors and editors now living with their two children in Vancouver Island, Canada, where they divide their time between writing and looking after the horses and alpacas on their small farm. Ian and Julie are both Anthropology graduates of Durham University, England, and they have worked on a wide range of book projects.

Julie is the author of The Horse: A Miscellany of Equine Knowledge and co-author of Know It All: The Little Book of Essential Knowledge. Ian is the author of Habitus Disgustica: The Complete Handbook of Annoying, Rude, and Unpleasant Behavior and A Measure of All Things: The Story of Man and Measurement, and co-author of Office 2007 Handbook and Back to School for Grown-Ups.
