This book chronicles the AKC Show history of English Setters and describe those attributes of the English Setter that contribute to success in the ring. It is not intended to be a definitive history of the breed, but rather will focus on the bench show history of these magnificent dogs. The book includes articles from the leading dog publications of each era in an attempt to recapture a sense of the actual performance of these dogs at the shows to recapture the vitality and spirit that made them great.
