Fredric Dannen was a co-recipient of the Overseas Press Club's 1986 Morton Frank Award for business reporting from abroad.     A fine history

    I would recommend this to anyone looking for a blow by blow account of the development of the Biz (mostly CBS vs. Warner Bros.) from the days when crazy people and criminals ran large recording companies up until investment brokers took it over. A lot of detail and quite entertaining.
