Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
The title phrase is repeated on each spread. "HO! HO! HO! Three mice in a row." "HO! HO! HO! Time to roll out the dough." The mice are making cookies and a drink for Santa and when he heads off into the sky the mice enjoy their treats and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! The art looks like it is computer generated and is nothing really spectacular. The glittery cover in green and red is the eye-catcher and will probably draw prospective purchasers to the book. Part of a series that includes No Peeking and A Little Snowflake. 2003, Price Stern Slaon/Penguin, Ages 1 to 3.

Children's Literature - Cady Sinks
There are many reasons to praise this book. The color scheme is pleasing; the story is a poetic; and best of all, the pages are varied in shape. Ho, Ho, Ho is a perfect book to increase your holiday spirit. In this sweet story about Santa and his copious belly, Santa gets stuck in a chimney; to release himself from his entrapment, he must elicit help from his cohorts, including a mouse and the standard reindeer, to get himself out of this bind. When read aloud, this story produces a lilting effect, creating a pleasing cadence for readers and listeners alike. The book’s clever design, with each page varied in shape, adds an element of fun to the experience of reading. Children can see more and more as each page is turned and the surface space of the pages grow. This is a well-crafted story, packaged nicely in a creatively designed board book. Reviewer: Cady Sinks; Ages 1 to 3.
