Oh No! Tucker loves Christmas, with all the trimmings -- making a snowman for Santa, marking just the right tree, getting into all the boxes of decorations -- but somehow manages to burn his nose while baking cookies on Christmas Eve. When you-know-who spies that bright red nose through the window, however, Tucker makes a very special friend and takes the sleigh ride of a lifetime. Now the tuckered-out terrier is already dreaming of next year!

Featuring candy-bright colors and foil cover lettering, Leslie McGuirk's newest tale about the charismatic little terrier named Tucker will sweeten the dreams of children everywhere.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
The white terrier returns in the board book Ho, Ho, Ho, Tucker! by Leslie McGuirk. "All puppies dream about Christmas. One little white dog gets especially carried away." Youngsters can watch Tucker build a snowman, select "just the right" tree and mark it his. This witty story is sure to amuse children and grown-ups alike. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
Children's Literature
Tucker is an active, precocious little white dog who is very excited because it is almost Christmas. Like a preschooler, he often gets carried away by his enthusiasm and curiosity. He builds a snowman for Santa but when he gets hungry, Tucker eats the carrot nose. He gets stuck in the box of decorations, and his nose is burned when he eats the Christmas cookies on the hot cookie sheet. When Santa sees that bright red nose he asks Tucker to help guide his sleigh alongside the reindeer. The brief text and simple illustrations are just right for toddlers and preschoolers who are just learning about the Christmas traditions. They will certainly relate to Tucker, and will laugh at his antics. The board book format allows little hands to turn the pages and follow the story through the cartoon-style illustrations. 2005, Candlewick Press, Ages 2 to 5.

    Love this book!

This is a fun book. My son's name is Tucker, so he just loves seeing what this little dog will do next. A fun book, can't wait to get the Halloween Tucker book.

My five year old loves this book!

I bought this for my three year old nephew, Tucker, but my five year old saw it, and wanted to read. By the time we were finished, he was begging me to keep the book and buy Tucker another. It is cute and funny, and the little bit of 'bathroom humor' when Tucker, the dog, finds just the right Christmas tree to tinkle upon, had my son in stitches. Tucker is a cute little dog that ends up helping Santa on Christmas eve.

    Fall in love with Tucker!

Another great Tucker book by Leslie McGuirk for babies to pre-schoolers. Tucker, a little white terrier, is an irresistible enchanting character. In Ho,Ho,Ho, Tucker, the delightful mischievous pooch romps through the snow, Christmas decorations, and a tray of hot cookies which burns his nose. After his exhausting day Tucker is anxious to sleep and dream of dancing bones. Little does he know what a remarkable surprise he is about to receive. Tucker meets a new friend who takes him on a great adventure. Ho,Ho,Ho, Tucker is a tender hearted flight of fancy with charming illustrations. McGuirk¿s sheer exuberance and artistic creations will captivate any young child as well as any adult reading to them. This artistically illustrated superb treat is a ¿must have¿ Christmas book
