    A FABULOUS READ

Hobey Baker, American Legend is the story of one of the country's most famous 'unknown' sports legends. I was surprised to discover that he is the only person inducted in both the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Collegiate Football Hall of Fame. What an amazing accomplishment. The author does a wonderful job in setting Baker in the era in which he flourished. Who would have ever known that F. Scott Fitzgerald patterned some of his memorable characters after this superb athlete. Hobey Baker, American Legend inspires and I highly recommend it to readers both young and old.

    A Great Story!

As an historian and hockey fan I was happy to come across this wonderful story of an American hero. Salvini captures the essence of a 'Legend' both on and off the ice. It is a remarkable story well suited for all ages. Hobey Baker was a hero who showed us all what true sportsmanship is all about. If you liked Boys of Winter, you'll love this.

    Hobey Baker: American Legend

History lovers will enjoy this peek into the unique life of Hobey Baker. Salvini has created a beautiful relationship between the facts of Baker's life and times and the legends that make Baker the hero he is. A wonderful read from start to finish. I especially like the 'you choose' style of the books ending!
