Hold Me (A Caldwell Sisters Book) by Lucianne Rivers Still reeling from her mother’s death, news anchor Jane Caldwell’s life is upended further when she learns the father she lost twenty years ago is still alive. Her mother’s will unleashes a manhunt—the Caldwell sisters must find their father, or their mother’s estate will not be settled, and their questions about his disappearance will remain unanswered.
Jane’s search leads her to Guatemala to investigate a man who claims to be her father and heir to the family fortune. Needing a translator, she enlists enigmatic Harrison DeNeuve, a sexy ex-patriot with a penchant for wearing dark sunglasses in public.
As Jane struggles to reunite with her would-be father, Harrison fights to suppress his desire for Jane. He has a secret—one he’s sequestered himself in a third-world jungle hideaway to keep safe—and falling for Jane puts more than his heart at risk.
Jane finds two men in Guatemala—a father and a lover—but can she trust either of them?

This was a novella that was an enjoyable read albeit too short as I think all novellas are. You felt the pain the three sisters shared due to the loss of their mother only to be told during the reading of the will that their long lost father who they were told was killed in the war was rumored to be alive. With very little to go on, Jane went off to Guatemala on a wild goose chase looking for him so that the estate could be settled and he could share in their inheritance. There she met an American, Harrison who was living in Guatemala, with secrets of his own. Harrison took her under his wing to protect her and helped her locate her father, Zach. Once found, Harrison returned with Jane and Zach to New Mexico but all was not as it seemed on either of their parts. Some of the ending was unexpected to me the way the story unfolded but I was glad to know that I could look forward to two more parts of the story in the next two books in the series. I liked that Jane and Harrison also had some conclusion to their romantic liaison which was quite steamy at times. Reviewed by JoAnne. Book Provided by Publisher.
