Editorial Reviews

Putting Together
I almost didn't get this book. I didn't like the cover. I know, dumb reason. I have purchased right around 100 books on preparedness. This is by far one of the most valuable in my library. I did not have the honor of serving in the armed forces, so many of the concepts in this book were foreign to me, however the author makes the concepts easy to comprehend. This book is simply invaluable if you are seriously contemplating survival and holding on to real-estate post-event.
Silver Back
"Holding Your Ground" is a well written, generally clear, straight-forward, and useful survey of a primarily defensive/passive strategies and techniques that could well save your life, if things should all fall apart; a formerly unthinkable scenario that is, in my opinion, becoming less "unthinkable" by the day.

Moreover, many of the steps "Joe Nobody" recommends could be relatively easily accomplished and are not very expensive.

Meet the Author

Joe Nobody (pen name for the author who wishes to keep his identity confidential) has provided systems, consulting and training for the U.S. Army, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Naval Research, United States Border Patrol as well as several private firms and government agencies which cannot be disclosed.
He is currently active in this area and for the security of his family and ongoing business, wishes to remain anonymous.
He has over 30 years of competitive shooting experience, including IPSC, NRA, and other related organizations. He has been a firearms instructor and consultant for over 30 years and holds the rights to a United States Patent for a firearms modification.
Joe initially became involved in helping private citizens "prepare" at the request of his students and clients. A conscientious instructor, he would always inquire as to why they wanted to learn certain skills or techniques and often the response was to prepare for more than just simple home invasion or self-defense. If you ask Joe what his greatest attribute is, he will tell you he is a "problem solver" and uses his formal education in Systems Engineering to this end.
"As the economy worsens, world tensions rise, and the modern media propagates bad news faster than ever before, more and more people want to prepare. I wrote HOLDING because it allows me to reach more of the good folks who are concerned about their security. I want them to sleep better at night knowing they have a plan of defense should the 'Event' ever occur."

    I recommend this book

I found the informtion in this book very helpful and easy to understand. It was a real eye opener and helped me understand the value of being prepared for not just the break down of law and order situations but also a natural disaster as well.

    Clear and concise.

I found this book to be very well written. It was easy to understand, yet was in-depth enough to adequately cover a wide range of topics. It brings together a wealth of information and ideas in one place. Unlike most other "survival" or "prepper" books, this one is specific in its goal and certainly delivers. I would highly recommend.

    Quick and to the point

Joe does a great job of staying on topic and not getting off into the weeds on equipment. I especialy like that there is a methodology and formula for rating your planned defense. Well done.

    From shtfblog.com

I received a complimentary copy of the Holding Your Ground - Total Defense ebook to review. My first thought was "why has it taken so long for someone to write this?"
