Meet the Author

South African pastor and author Andrew Murray (1828And#151;1917) was an amazingly prolific writer. Murray began writing on the Christian life for his congregation as an extension of his local pastoral work, but he became internationally known for his books, such as With Christ in the School of Prayer and Abide in Christ, that searched men's hearts and brought them into a deep relationship with Christ. Writing with an intensity of purpose and zeal for the message of the gospel, Murray wrote numerous books even after his "retirement" at age seventy-eight.

Timeless reflections on intimacy with God through Christ

Andrew Murray unfolds in a most relevant way, timeless truths about the missing essentials for us followers of Christ to have a life giving transformational relationship with God. The writing is in early 19th century english but still relevant for anyone seeking a connection to what is truly sacred in this life - the Holy Son of God and Our relationship to a Holy God.

Finding out who you really are as a Christian

Written as a day by day study of the book of Hebrews - probably taking about a year if followed day by day - The writings of this Minister in South Africa over 100 years ago are truly challenging to the Christian mind. No book by itself has had a more defining effect on me than this one has. Andrew Murray has a gift of making a lasting impression that simply won't go away. Using Hebrews as '...a bible within the bible.' His writing challenges today in a way that makes me envy those who knew him in person. Get the book!
