Meet the Author

My mother is a poet; my father is an architect. I own and manage Club Coquette in downtown Conshohocken during the day. At night, I write. And every time I'm told what a dirty mind I have, I take it as a compliment.

    Overall: Good

I think the author meant for this to read as a two shot with her other piece Dahlia. However, if you get past the few parts were it mentions previous events, it's good as a stand alone. There's an interesting method of pleasing one's self, but it's nothing too disturbing. It bode's well on the erotica front. Although it is pretty short (26 pages).

Hollyleaf's Story: After the Battle Part One

I watched ThunderClan from the edge of the camp. A thick bramble bush concealed my werebouts. "Icecloud, take Cherrypaw and Brightheart on a moss patrol" Bramblestar ordered them. They nodded dutifully and set off, and I shrank back in my bush. ThunderClan seemed to be okay after the battle. I think I had faked my death pretty well. Hawkfrost hadn't actually sliced my throat. He missed, and I chased him off. I had found a death berry bush and painted my throat thickly in the juices. I waited for the patrol to pass, and then shimmied my way out of the bush. "Goodbye ThunderClan" I whispered. Graystripe was playing moss ball with Lilykit and Seedkit, and Jayfeather was sitting in the sun, sorting herbs with Briarlight. Cinderheart was sharing tongues with Lionblaze, their tails intertwined. I blinked back tears and turned my back on ThunderClan. It was obvious that I didn't belong here. My family would always love me, but I didn't want to be there. I pushed through thick grasses and low hanging branches. This Green Leaf was exceptionally warm, and I could almost see steam coming off of my fur. "That was a good try Molepaw, but try coming at me from the other side next time." I stiffened and crouched into the shadows. It was Dovewing! She must have been out here training Molepaw before I came to check on the clan. I slowly sneaked around the clearing, using my best hunting crouch for extra silence. Then my stomach growled. I cringed, that could jeopardize my plan. "Oh well, you have to eat Hollyleaf" I told myself. Raising my nose, I sniffed out the scent of a mouse. I followed the smell, then saw it. The plump mouse was crouched under a tall oak tree, sitting in a patch of ivy nibbling on a pine nut. I stalked toward it, careful to keep my tail from sweeping on the forest floor. Finally I was a few mouse lengths away when someone called my name. The mouse perked up and then scurried away. "Hollyleaf?" Murmured the disbelieving voice. I turned. It was Leafpool. She looked into my eyes and then ran over to me. She nuzzled my shoulder, licking my ear as if I was a small scared kit. "You-You're alive!" She whisper-cried. My heart ached in sadness. "Yes" I murmured, rigid. "Come quickly, we must get you back to camp!" She turned to lead me back through the forest, but I didn't budge. Leafpool turned back to me. "Aren't you coming?" I backed up slightly, and shook my head. "I-I can't" I stammered quietly. "But...but you have to come back!" She cried. I shook my head again, more firmly. "I wont stop trying to bring you back. I will tell the clan!" She said desperately. My bright green eyes widened. I couldn't let her do that. My paws moved on their own, and I leaped at my mother. She gasped, and I slammed into Leafpool. The force of the impact made us roll. I screwed my eyes shut. We stopped with a sudden jerk. I opened my eyes slowly. Leafpool was up against a rock. Her green eyes were glazing over, and blood was seeping thickly against the stone. I pulled away in horror. What have I done?! "Leafpool?" A meow sounded nearby and my hackles rose. Bumblestripe and Whitewing emerged from the thick ferns. I darted off in the other direction. That doesn't mean I couldn't hear their cries of shock though. Finally I slowed down. I knew where I was. I was at the entrance of the wood tunnel. To be continued at the next result....
