"This book is dedicated to my nephew, Seth, whose peanut allergy inspired it," explains Zeller. "I wanted to write a book that brought awareness to food allergies with characters children could identify with. It is my hope that in the future, more programs will become available that will help parents, teachers, day care workers, peers, and those throughout the community help our youngest food allergic children."
Every time she was invited to a birthday party, Mama Bug would gently tell Naniekyns, "Honey, you can't have any of the sunflower petals crispy delight because you are allergic." And each time, Naniekyns would hang her head in sadness.
"But I did bring fresh grass blades for you!" Mama Bug would say excitedly. Naniekyns would crunch sadly on the plain and boring grass blades while her friends savored the delicious sunflower petals crispy delight, which had been roasted to perfection in the hot sun.

Penny Zeller has provided an awesome tool for dealing with children who have to learn to deal with being different. Her gifted ability to communicate with children is amazing and her story is rich in wisdom and contains spell-binding illustrations. A must read for anyone that suffers from health anomolies.
