    Smashing the idols

I first read this book as a adolesant. While looking up an obscure actress named Barbara LaMarr. This book is fasinating, well written like a old fashion page 6 colum. He leaves no one out that was anybody during the glory days of hollywood. The twentys is the best part. Who knew herion and cocaine were so widely abused in the good ole days. I personally have read his book three times and just admire how tastefully he covers the debauchery of the idols. CB DeMille would have hired Mr. Angler as a writer any ole time trust me!

    Spicy!

This is a terrific book that highlights some of old Hollywood's darkest scandals and sheds light on them while giving the readers interesting and refreshing insight at the same time. You'll read about the circumstances surrounding scandals that plagued Fatty Arbuckle, William Randolph Hearst, Marion Davies, Frances Farmer, Clara Bow, Charlie Chaplin, Errol Flynn and Rudolph Valentino. This is a great book that makes for an interesting reading experience on a quiet morning, a lazy afternoon or a rainy night. The book was tastefully written and Kenneth Anger does a splendid job of presenting the material in a way that's informative and entertaining. Features plenty of pictures, some of them graphic, all of them rarely seen. Also includes the peculiar circumstances surrounding the murder of William Desmond Taylor (the chief director at Famous Players-Lasky) and a particularly titillating story involving Mary Astor. This book is highly recommended! Purchase your copy today.
