    highly recommended

    Excellent quality paper, printing and binding. My only question is why it is listed as hardcover, because it is flexible bonded leather. Maybe to distinguish it from paperback?
    I'm very familiar with the "old" NIV. This is my first Holman Bible. It flows well and doesn't seem to have the jarring differences from NIV that RSV has, and none of the archaic word order/sentence structure that NKJV has. And it certainly has none of the catering to special interest groups like the "new" (gender neutral) NIV.
